I only checked out one bar, My Bar. It was the opinion of the folks I was with that this was the best bar in the area. There were many Westerners hanging out in this club. The ladies working here seemed to be older. Many of them spoke at least some English. The one lady I pulled from My Bar was absolutely lousy. It was worse than a TJ session. She complained the entire time for me to finish and wanted 500,000 Rupiah. I gave her 350,000 for short time. According to my guides, this was more the going rate for all night. I got so disgusted with my one experience there that I decided not to return. But I would not write the place off. I would recommend paying 350,000 to 400,000 for all night based on the recommendation of MongerX and Socrates69. It has also been reported that 150,000 to 200,000 is acceptable for short time, so I was really generous and overpaid, yet I still got shit from her. I would also not discuss money beforehand with your lady. It is my understanding that none of the ladies “work” for the bars, they are all freelancers so there is no exit free or barfine. According to Socrates69, if you sit down with your lady to do an interview and she orders wine, that is a sign that she is hardcore. He doesn’t believe they make commission off the drinks, but the bars do encourage the ladies to order these drinks. My lady did and that set off Socrates69’s alarm right away.

Blok M usually doesn’t get going until around 11 or so at night, but I believe they go very late there, probably until 4 or 5 am. So this may be a good late night option as well.
