Stadium Discoteca is located off of J.L. Hayam Wuruk and is almost right around the corner from the Spark Hotel. I will try to highlight its approximate location on the map below, but I am not sure this is correct.

I went around 1 in the afternoon on a Saturday. I was greeted by someone annonying who wanted to show me around. He took me up to the 4th floor disco which was jumping. There were several freelancers hanging around in the light in the front before entering the disco. There were several more inside. Unfortunately, the disco was almost just as dark as TC’s and it was impossible to see anyone. The annoying dude wanted to bring ladies to me and I wanted him to go away. He then wanted money and I just dismissed him.

The disco on the fourth floor has two levels to it and a huge stage in the mid center to back. It was a pretty impressive place. Supposedly ecstasy is the drug of choice and many people enter on Friday and don’t leave until Monday or some craziness like that. Most of the ladies I saw were hideous or old so I passed. It was too early for the fishbowl on the third floor. I was told the ladies there arrived around 3pm. I was going to wait, but I did other things instead. I do regret not seeing the fishbowl though or going back in the evening.

MX, Crazier and I did see the fishbowl gals at the Stadium (around 4pm), and there were lots and lots of them. Many cuties. They are lounging in sofas outside the fishbowl, about a dozen in the fishbowl, and a few hanging out in the bar. The gals seemed high volume as I witnessed a few hotties being snatched up real quick and some good foot traffic.

IMHO opionon the third floor fishbowl at Stadium is currently one of the best places in Kota to get you ST jollies. It's a shame the first girl I pulled out of here, while a real winner, decided I am the fat man of her dreams. Here is one thing to worry about here, management has a bad habit of charging you a superior room for 258K by default. The standard room here is 223K and plenty good. So when you go to the desk you pretty much have to insist on the lower rate. Hey it's my mission in life to save mongers tens of dollars. Here's $3 right there.

Stadium was one of my favorite places in Kota last trip. I agree with MX's assessment of the talent. I was able to have two of the girls from there come to visit me at Sparks at 10-10:30 AM in the morning, and stay for 2-3 hours for 250K (I didn't discuss price, they seemed happy with that). It seems that after-work visits are harder for them to pull off, but they have some freedom in the morning. And that worked really well for me--one of the reasons I had trouble leaving JKT.

Stadium has raised the ST rates of their standard rooms to 242K rupiah, but left the VIP room price at 258K. So I splurged but cursed management under my breath as Jakarta ST has experienced 20% inflation rate the past year.

But about 30 seconds late I was thanking them profusely, the VIP rooms are extremely nice and a huge upgrade over the already above average standard room. The room had great lighting, was huge with an Asian king size bed, big ass color TV, huge glass encased shower, and just reall well appointed. Damn Merlin why didn't you tell me these VIP rooms kicked ass? Probably because you never got to see how the other half lives.

So under the new pricing structure, the VIP room is definitely worth the less than $2 extra expense.

I still have no idea where you guys were finding fishbowls in Stadium, but then again, my only visit was at 3 AM on new year's eve, and there was a 120K cover charge to enter the disco.

I got to one of the upper floors (4th I think), and had a couple mamasans bring some girls out, but they weren't prime material. I'd love to see what a GOOD selection there looked like.

BTW, re: room prices, I started a mini-protest on my one visit there! Some non-Indo Arab looking guy (spoke English instead of Indonesian) was there looking to go to a room with his Ms. Right Now and the cashier told him 'rooms full, only VIP available'. I drunkenly spoke up and told the guy 'that's probably just B.S. You should WAIT!' So the dude actually DID THAT, said "I WAIT" and went with his girl off to the corner of the desk to wait his turn! ME? I just walked back to Sparks and went to sleep!

MX: as you suspect, I always went the upgraded room route, but it's only about U.S$5-$10 extra. Not a bad deal if it's noticeably better, from what I hear. I'm kind of a stickler for decent ambiance when doing the wild thing.

Porker: sounds like you were close by the fishbowl if you got to the cashier on the 3rd floor (the fishbowl is on the 3rd floor not the 4th floor). More specifically, as you get out of the elevator, you pass the bar, then pass the sofa area, and when you get to the cashier stand, then hang a left into a corridor for about 20-30 ft. This corridor also leads to the 3rd floor rooms and the fishbowl doubles as the girls dressing room.

I was also there at 3am one time and it was nothing compared to the talent they had during the day time.

Well guys. I think I know where I am going to take my afternoon walk to today. Looks like it is just across and down the street a little ways from Vits and Dolarindo cambios.

Crowds are way down, but the quantity of girls up at the disco level are up. Too bad the quality isn't. There are about 2 chinese-indo lookers and two indo lookers, otherwise the rest are average, but fun. note, this place is on the expensive side for the bars i like to frequent. 290K for standard room plus you pay cover charge of 20-40k depending on the club night.

This place was one of the "funner" places for me. The good thing is that I usually go here after 2am when everything else is closed. 4th floor gals work until 5am, and 3d floor gals work into the wee hours as well. Sufficient mix of new gals versus seasoned pros to keep you happy. Plenty of cuties who are sitting in the bar area as you walk in. The ST rooms are upstairs and you gotta fight your way through the crowds to get to the rooms. When it gets real busy, they use the 3d floor rooms.

Cover charge (addn'l to ST fees of 285k-305k) is as high as 100k on busy weekends but usually 30-50k weeknights. This, IMO, weeds out the less motivated monger competition.

3d floor bar has gals working in the bar area instead of sitting around the outside in the sofas. A good two dozen or more girls each time, with enough cuties to go around.

2nd floor is just a mini disco now, no gals.

Whoever coined the phrase, "There is nothing more expensive than free pussy" was a wise man indeed. It is generally why I don't pursue non-pros because I hate the "buy me this, buy me that" nagging. I can speak for Surabaya. there was a time a couple of years ago where it was sold so openly in three different disco's and with such absolute impunity by persons openly affiliated with the disco that it was obvious that stories that they had the police paid off to protect the place were true. Then...... over a period of a few months it all changed, there was a series of raids and I even had a ladies decline a trip to the disco because they were afraid of the place. I can't say if that was seasonal or not but it went from being sold as openly as beer by highly confident waiters to being some creepy clandestine thing with some scared looking lowlife off in the shadows.

When I was at the Kwalon disco and at Top Gun (2 yr ago) people were partaking without concerns.

During the same trip when I was in Yogyakarta the place I was at (forget the name but a western oriented club/bar) got raided and everyone in the club got frisked including me (much to the shock and amusement of the Indos around). They even had the mobile van lab sitting outside...I think 3 or so locals ended up being busted.

Cee...the joke at Stadium was (or is) how long the line of people sitting by the bathroom is...when you go take a leak there is the bunch of people sitting on the floor in the hallway to the bathroom, bobbing their heads with the shades on...they are all on E...plus the bunch who are on the dancefloor...

Uuuuuh No. You need to drop the Thailand/Philippine preconceptions when you go to a place like Jakarta, especially once you leave the confines of the 5* bars and Blok M. Everything else is a local scene and you need to appreciate the Indo culture of give and take - those who have give (but not too much) and those who don't take (actually ask and generally get some but not all that the lack). It's actually a very islamic ideal.

In Stadium, the house girls will be totally obvious, as they are the ones wearing the hooker clothes. Pretty much everyone else is someone looking for a good time and how pro they are at the time depends on how much money is currently in their pocket. And the non-house girls and the rest of the crowd at stadium in definitely in the 20's and above. You will be surprised to see how many middle aged business men and ladies you see shaking their heads.

The under 20 head shakers are around back in the Mongo Mas disco, and in the Mangga Besar discos such as Extosis and Pujesara.

In Jakarta, you often don't need to filter out the non-pro's, as they can quickly become available if the conditions are right. Sometimes you can even simply meet one on the sidewalk by chance, a random encounter that turns into a 3 year relationship.

Stadium was amazing for me on this trip. About 40% of my total pulls came from Stadium 3/4 and I was quite happy with overall performance.

The main concern for me is that Stadium is one hell of a death trap. Good luck finding your way out if a fire breaks out, because the ceilings are low (will fill with smoke in no time) and there are no exit signs. Plus the staircase leading down is tiny - I have NO idea how a full disco (approx 400+ patrons) can empty down that staircase in case of emergency.

Stadium 3rd floor: if you want to avoid the bad lighting in the main party area, hang a right after exiting the elevator and just take a seat on the couch. The mamasans will take that as a cue to round up the girls and do a line up. Simple and effective way to avoid buyer's remorse.

Stadium 4th floor: on busy nights, make sure you have your wallet in your front pocket and keep your hands tucked into those pockets. I experienced 2 or 3 very obvious pickpocketing attempts in less than 10 minutes.

I went to the Stadium 3rd floor club on a Monday night in December. It was quite dark, but I was able to see a few ladies in my doable range.
