The Mulia Hotel is definitely a 5* with some incredible furnishings, paintings and decor (almost like a museum). Appeared that Silver Bird Taxis had a monopoly here as I only saw Silver Bird lined up as we were leaving.

I really had a blast at CJs (2nd floor), where I took my stadium gal and her friend here one night. I found the relatively small bar/disco (cozy) packed to the rafters with partiers. It's a very lively and fun bar, with lots of lighting. There is a nice circular bar area with a good number of stools in the middle, there is also some seats area facing the bar and stage.

A very interesting mix of young Middle Easterners (some cute girls), Europeans/Westerners and rich locals. There were some really, really hot non-working gals and freelancers (couldn't tell them apart) and several groups of girls dressed to kill. Girl-Guy ratio was 2-1 I'd guess. The freelancers would hit me up even while I was w/my gals :-)

The stage was large, and when I went, they flew in an excellent band from New York that did an excellent job of mimicking popular hip/hop and rap songs.

Wednesday night is ladies night and recommended by the regulars as the best night to visit CJs.
CJs closed at 2am, and then I saw most of the partiers again at Stadium disco, including the freelancers.

So Marlin you paid the 1.2 million rupiah to take a girl LT from the stadium fish tank? Or was it a free lancer.

CJ's is my favorite of the nice hotel bars. Usually a very good band, luxurious surroundings and fun party atmosphere. The girls do know how to package themselves well here, as most of the girls are not fresh from the kampong chickens. There is some good and bad in that, most of the girls will speak at least some English with many who will speak quite good English. However, it seems that most of them are single moms in the 25-35 range which often leads to dissapointment to when the clothes comes off.

Also, if you saw a two to one ratio of girls to guys, you got very lucky. The last half of dozens times I have been there I have seen one to one at best - real sausage fess. However the first time I ever went on Ladies night I was blown away by about a 10 to 1 ratio. So it can happen.

This is not the place for those stretching their rupiah. You have to buy a first drink to enter which is something like 20K marked up over the usual 40K for a beer and 70K for a whiskey-coke. This can add up quickly if you are catching a buzz and/or interviewing some girls.

CJ's is a fun place for sure to party if you got the rupiah. Also, it's a good place to get your feet wet on the Jakarta P4P scene if need a girl with some english, your not comfortable with the more scruffy and less Western oriented Kota, and you don't mind already had a baby or three bodies. Also, it's great if you want to pick-up a hooker where it feels more like a picking up a non-pro in the States. The girls are good at maitaining that fantasy. Also, the girls will expect (or I should I say hope) for more cash on a night for straigh P4P.

However, many of the girls would like to have a western boyfriend and if you treat them as prospective GF's it's easy to get regular dates with sex at the end. I know it great for the ego to have some free sex, but don't be an ass. Getting some free pussy in Indonesia (or other poor SEA countries) is not significant nor difficult. Give the girl some money anyway if your search for a GF is just a pretense. These girls show us a lot of fun and are almost uniformally super sweet, but they really don't have shit and live in very low standard situations. Most of them are really struggling to get by.

Yeah, my stadium escort was expensive, but worth every rupia IMO, the LT called her friend to join us. The particular night I went, there were several groups of white gals and Arab gals, who seemed fascinated by the hunky lead singer from the live band; this may have skewed the ratios.

It was indeed very expensive for the drinks, I think they shocked the hell out of me by charging 110K for a Johnny Walker Double. But still, it's a very festive place to look around. I doubt I'll spend too much time here, the girs did seem very pretty but I can see how some of them could be older than 22-23 y.o.

This nightclub CJ's has some of the finest cute little Asian spinners I have ever seen. Was in there last night, and the place was packed. It was ladies night.

The club was wall-to-wall with some of the finest chicks I have ever set eyes on.

Wow, I went there a few times in January and February and thought the talent levels were well down on last year and I mean well down! Hope it has recovered to its former glory it used to be my favourite club/pickup place.

Wickedwilly, (or anyone else who can answer this) what is the truth behind these girls who go there? Are they "working girls"?

If they are, then I sure would like to know, but it's difficult in attempting to strike up a conversation with some cute young Asian hottie when you bring a date to one of these nightclubs.

My date is also a cute Asian spinner. She met her friends here and she was off in a corner with them throughout the evening. I was constantly...and I do mean CONSTANTLY approached, smiled at, touched, groped-you name it, by some very attractive exotic Asian ladies.

And trying to go to the restroom was an adventure I will never forget! I had to run a gauntlet of the finest, cutest sweetest-looking young Asian girls I've ever seen. They all purposely stood in my way.

I realize I keep saying how cute they are, but Gents, I have never seen anything so exotic looking in m life.

But the attempted restroom approach task was a sheer sexual experience in itself. Every female who stood in my path, or at leat tried to, wanted to make conversation with me. And I let them grope me, because I was loving every minute of it.

The majority of the girls in CJ's are working girls almost all the rest are girls looking for Bule boyfriends who in the long run will cost you more than the working girls. Girls here will ask for more than other places normal prices asked are 800,000-1,000,000. You do not have to pay these prices although some girls may turn down less earlier in the evening. I have not taken too many working girls fomn there but have paid from 300,000 to 500,000. Have taken a few non working girls from there too.

You should try Top Gun in Block M. There were more younger, prettier and spinner girls than CJ's in Jan and Feb. Ask for Anna, 20yo tiny body, but great breasts. Or for a real no holds barred 3 somes get Anna and Rica. Rica loves Anna so u will get full blown "real" lesbo action. The prices there are less too and if you buy a few drinks (mega cheaper than Cj's you will have a ball!

Actually this sounds like Bullshit. The girls in 5* hotel bars don't go out and molest and grope guys at random. These girls will be much less solicitous than those in a place like Adelitas. The girls are acutely concerned with pissing off a girlfreind. SO the girls will be much more subtle by making simple eye contact and wait for you to approach them. Girls here are initially much more reserved because a significant portion of the male customers are not punters and there with GF's. Believe me MB if you showed up with another all the other girls will know that. While it may seem Indo are deaf (from the loud volume of mucic everywhere) they do indeed have incredibly good eyesight and efficient gossip pipelines.

However, down in Blok M bule bars the girls can be quite aggressive.

Yes, many of these Asian hotties must have seen me arrive with a date. I know they saw me arrive with three girls, but as soon as you walk in the glass doors at the entrance, there is a second, very long bar just off to the left. (If you have been in there, then you will know where I mean) My date and I, plus her two girlfriends all headed for the second bar, as the main stage area was extremely crowded.

The restroom is located at the extreme other side, to the right of where the stage is. The narrow path of females who purposely stand in your way as you attempt to shove through the crowd, only helps in assisting me to hopefully grind up against some young hotties.

(And in case Blazers is reading this post and still needs convincing I'm really in Jakarta....) you make a right to go up two steps to the restroom. (In Jakarta, they don't say "restroom," they refer to it the same was as the British-the "toilet") The mens restroom is on the left. The ladies is on the right. They are huge wooden doors. The towel man stands inside and hands you a paper towel when your done, expecting a tip.

But back to my main concern, although I think it has already been answered. I would like to know, just for my own curiosity, are these girls all hooking on the side, or are they just overly friendly to an American white guy?

It's just that, when I was going from A to B, as in going from one end of the club to the restroom, I was purposely striking up a conversation with many girls, and vice-versa, yet when they discovered I was not Australian, but from Los Angeles, California, you couldn't believe their ears.

This nightclub CJ's will be etched in my memory for ever. OH, and BTW, no cameras allowed in the bar. Can you tell me why not, Monger X? I really don't know why, but I do have an idea.

As of this writing, I plan to hit CJ's at least two more times before I go back to the US.

I would also like to know the hotel you are staying at. Not for the reasons Blazer mentioned but I am curious as to what hotel offers such a great Internet connection that you can reply to every mail in a few minutes. I changed two hotels in Jakarta to find a better Internet connection but all the hotels I stayed at had terrible Internet connection. I sure would like to stay in the same hotel you are at so I would have such a great Internet connection.

Good point Phd, the internet connections are shite in JKT. Fortunately for MB, he is using a broadband connection in Southern California.

On a footnote here, (and in trying to keep the board on topic) the one major concern I have with logging onto CH from a very public Internet cafe in Jakarta, Indonesia, as opposed to the privacy of my own room, is that I dare not download the latest submitted pics, where someone might see what I'm viewing.

This is, after all, a strict Muslim country and today, Monday, is a strict Muslim Holy Day. That's all I would need, is to get caught.

I am posting this message from an Internet cafe in a shopping mall called, Pasaraya Grande. The Internet cafe is located below ground level of the shopping mall. Having just survived another night at CJ's, I find myself sitting in front of this monitor with a slight hangover.

Didn't make it to CJ's on Wednesday night, which is ladies night, but I was there again last night. As usual, it was crowded once again. Some of the women in this club are stunning, to say the least. It makes one wonder if they are all "working" girls or if they are part-timers? Either way, I'm not one to cast stones, especially when I view the act of prostitution as a victimless crime.

While squeezing through the crowd to make my way to the restroom, got lots of smile again and lots of second glances from some very attractive Asian hotties. Once again, the only frustrating problem was, I brought the same date who was watching me like a hawk, making sure I wasn't trying to flirt with any females.

I truly love this place, definitely recommended for the traveling monger when visiting Jakarta.

Mongerx, how far is "Bloc M" from Marriott area? Just in case the hotel bar scene isn't good while I'm there. If finding a taxi or it is dangerous, i dont want to go, but I am used to Pattaya or Bangkok action, if it is similar.
