Xen
Ahh the good ole days . A very old photo - just check out the prices.
Up until about 10 years ago those signs were everywhere and were absolutely enforced. Now even Thailand seems to try to be politically correct and you see Arabs in the bars fairly often. It's a shame actually since in their own countries they force their women to wear those heavy beekeeper's uniforms in 120 degree plus heat and beat them if they show an ankle where they should not.

Yeah, I thought the prices seemed a little cheap. And I never recall seeing a sign like that when I was there. Still got a kick out of it though.
Could you imagine the firestorm if a sign like that appeared here?

In Malaysia, all the "health centers" have signs posted outside that say Malay/Muslim men are forbidden to enter. I'll see if I can find the pic I took of one. Also, I've seen lots of "no foreigner" signs in Japan, much to my chagrin.

Beekeeper's uniforms! ROTFWL!
I read in one of the area papers recently that Maylasia was going to start enforcing its bans on things like holding hands in public.
