On my recent trip to Bangkok, I noticed on my several visits to Tulip some Japanese language magazines in the rooms. I finally picked one up while waiting for my girl during my last session and thumbed through it. It turned out to be a mongering guide to Bangkok. I thought it would be interesting to analyze it more in-depth, so I took it with me (honest, the girl said I could).

The magazine is called “Super Magazine Yuu,” and seems to be published six times a year. The copy I have is the August-September issue of 2005. It has an impressive amount of information about the mongering scene (which has me wondering if there is an English language equivalent; probably not – they can get away with it because it’s in Japanese, a language few people read).

Besides some columns on the latest developments in Bangkok, and a feature on Dao of Tulip (her picture is on the cover), the magazine has departments that focus on the following venues, complete with maps and descriptions.

Karaoke clubs in the Soi Thaniya area

In the interest of the site (or something), I checked out Angels 22, today. Let me just say, it isn't up to the same standard as the Ratchadadiprisek big boys. I selected a girl from the photo book. In the book, she was borderline stunning. In person, she wasn't bad (light-skinned 24 year old from near Ayutthaya), but the photographer was a genius. He managed to obscure both her dental problem and her jug ears. The room was not of a high standard, but it did feature a large wall mirror, which I really enjoy. The service was, actually, pretty good. But, and this is my complaint with all massage parlors, there was no way to tell that she had had a child before she stripped off. That being said, apart from the C-section scar, her body wasn't bad at all.

I wasn't entirely disappointed, but I really don't partake in many...erm...extracuriculars, any more. My money would have been better spent in a posher massage parlor. Sorry folks but I have to give my two cents here. 2/3 of the girls in thong lor 2 behind the emporium that you see on the website does NOT work there anymore!
