A new Dynasty hotel, the Dynasty Grande has just opened in Bangkok on Sukhumvit Soi 6.
It costs about twice as much as the Dynasty inn, but there is currently a 20% pre-opening discount so the rooms start at about 1,800 +tax +service.
To get there head up Soi 4 Past Nana Plaza and the Dynasty inn, and take the soi on the left hand side that taxis take to get back to Sukhumvit.
A few metres along, just after the beer bars is the Dynasty Grande.
Do not try to take a taxi up soi 6 from Sukhumvit, it is one way!
Full details on the Dynasty Inn website.

I walked in , Rate was 1800 Baht not to far from Nana. Also very short walk 2 Seven-Eleven & Sio 4 Internet cafe(up stairs room) was also OK as the hotel has not yet finished the Business center! A few small bars & massage spots on coner Sio 6. Overall was my best stay in Bangkok thus far.

I stayed at the Dynasty Grand, last feb. for 5 days, enjoyed the facilities and the staff was excellent. The only draw back that i noticed was the curtains allow too much light in the room for us that like to sleep in late. Not too much of a problem they will add extra drapes upon request to make it darker.
I even went out with one of the cutie desk clerks, but didnt have enough game to close the deal. next time next time..lol
Hey Nasty... yes i owe you a few drinks! Maybe some body shots on a couple of those thai beauties.

Senator,
I will be there again in 3 weeks, I will let you know if there are any changes to the place. I liked it last time, but you never know the tides change in BKK quickly.

I stayed here for a week 8th - 15th june.i found this hotel to be one of the best bargains i had in thailand, my advice is to take the 1800bht opening offer while it is still there, the rooms are needless to say brand new,the air con is excellent and the couple of cute receptionists aren't a bad touch either.(no i don't work for dynasty)its just i arrived in bangkok and stayed 2 days in pres solitaire, got the suite for 4800bht,apart from the extra room the dynasty grande lacked nothing from the pres,if anything the grande is better located.
don't take the suite at the grande,i was about to book it but on arrival asked to view both suite and standard rooms they are identical, bell boy told me the suite is bigger but unless your carrying a measuring tape with you you would never now.anyway i hope i haven't come on to strong about this place but needless to say i was impressed.

I just booked a room at the 1800/night rate via the dynastyinn.com website. Very efficient, I'll give you guys an update when I get there!

So I check into the Dynasty Grande on 11 August, and I asked them to e-mail me their address and directions in Thai to give the cabbie (see below). Seven days and a wakeup and I'm off to Pooying Central!
----------------------------------------------------
Sorry, I cut and pasted the Thai, but only numbers and letters popped up in the CH post. How do I post Thai characters?

Blumpy - I did find the taxi guys to be a little confused by Dynasty/Dynasty Grande. At worst they'll take you to the old one, right down the street and around the corner. If that happens - I found most taxi drivers seem to know Dynasty Grande more simply as "NEW Dynasty". And even should you get the densest taxi driver on the planet - you could grab a cab from the old Dynasty to the Dynasty Grand for about a buck.

Thanks, Bro!

By the way, the walk from Nana Plaza to the Dynasty Grande is about on a par with the walk down to the Omni. About 5 mins tops.

I just returned from a jaunt over to LOS. While in BKK I stayed at the Dynasty Grande. I recommend it highly. Were I to return to BKK it would be my first choice. The only thing I have to say about it that could be considered slightly negative is that they did not card visitors. Of course, some may find that preferable but it is not my preference.

I stayed there for four nights last month; you're right Ram, the place is great. The perfect hotel for those of us who want to be near the action but not smack in the middle of it. Certainly a good value for that level of quality. A bit of construction noise during the day, probably from the gutting of the old Dynasty Inn across the way. Oh yeah, and one morning they were having some Budhist ceremony in the open area between the elevator and the lobby, complete with a line-up of monks in saffron robes. I felt like some kind of intruder walking through.

Does anyone know if they still have the free shuttle to the Dynasty in Pattaya?
By Jimbob19 on Monday, September 20, 2010 - 09:28 pm: Edit |
As of my last trip in mid-July, they still offered the free shuttle to Pattaya.

In the past year, the Dynasty Grande has been opening up more of the back building. I prefer the rooms back there as they have very large, open shower areas, as opposed to the cubicles in the front building. They have also been working on renovating the rooms in the front building, and as of a few weeks ago, had opened up some of the floors.
Overall, it is still one of the best mongering hotels in the Nana area. The location on Soi 6 is perfect both for mongering in Nana Plaza and Cowboy, but also for the very close proximity to the skytrain at Nana Station.
In January, they were running a special of a first night at 2280 baht, and then all other nights after that at 1880 baht, all in.
