I have tried traveling with Guys like you before. It has never worked out. It is apparent that you have very mixed feelings about what you are about to attempt.

My first piece of advice:
You are going overseas to have paid sex with prostitutes. If you can say that and feel ok about it, then you will have fun. If you can't, you will most likely have problems.

There is a host of other advise here that is useful for the newbie but my impression is that you need to feel OK about what you are about to try.

I wouldnt say this is prostitution as you know of in the United States. In the United States, you usually see and hear the stereotypes of drug dependent hookers and two bit pimps. You see stings on the show Cops.

This is very different in that these host countries know and accept this type of prostitution. Instead of drug dependent hookers, its mainly women who truly need the cash. In some cases, the women are licensed and tested by the local authorities such as in Angeles City. Sometimes the local police are right nearby and they watch as you take women out of the bars. They wont arrest you for prostitution like in the United States.

You should first read up on sexual diseases. Go through wikipedia.org and become familiar with all of them. Know how to spot certain skin STDs like herpes. The women in certain countries will not like to use condoms and some will tell you so. The most common disease most people get is gonnorhea where you piss flames. If you use condoms, you should be ok.

Next some women are open to threesomes and some are not. You can discuss it with them and they will let you know what their limits are. Some might even have a friend they prefer to go with them for a 3some.

Some of the women keep themselves clean, some do not. It can be a toss-up at times.

For the most part, the women do have a good time. I suggest spending a little time getting to know them before you take them back to the hotel room. A few drinks, some talk and maybe even some dancing. The sex will be average to excellent with a few exceptions.

You wont have to drop 150 for this trip on a woman. Not even a 1/4 of that amount. Be familiar with the going rates of each country and the appropriate amount to tip. Never overtip.

Go through each of the different trip reports for each country and look at several pictures. Make sure you are attracted to the women before making any plans. In Southeast Asia, you have three main options (Thailand, Philippines, and Jakarta). There are a few other countries, but those seem to be the most traveled. In South America, you have Brazil (Rio) and Columbia seems to be up and coming.

I did take a friend with me on a trip back in March of 2005. After 4 days, he went back to the airport. Im not sure what he was expecting but he seemed to feel uncomfortable. I talked with him about it and he sited moral issues and the fact that he might get an STD. So there are a few things you should know:

1. Any one of these third world countries will have poverty on a very high scale. You will see street beggars, tin shanty houses, garbage/mess/smell everywhere, etc. It will be unlike anything you may have seen in the United States and might depress you.

2. There is always a risk for catching a disease.

3. This is real prostitution where you give a woman money in exchange for sex.

My personal opinion on the issue is that your going to pay a woman for sex whether you go on a date, get married or just hand it over to her for sex.

These are just some of the dirty aspects of mongering, there are more. If you can accept the different negative aspects of mongering, then the next step is to select the country and make your plane reservation. Then select a hotel and go from there.

You wont have to worry, the sex will be a lot better then what you have imagined. Dont ask any more questions, just go and do it.

One side note. The women are in no way forced to do this type of trade. In Angeles City, they hang "Help Wanted" signs outside of the bars. Whats even more shocking is that the women will recruit their family members to be bargirls. Its not uncommon to find a womans cousin, and even sister, to be working at the same bar. I've not been to asia, but have taken two trips to Rio, 30 days and 10 days.
I have to warn you as IE says, "the sex will be a lot better then what you have imagined."

On the first trip, the full day before flying back to the US from Rio I was depressed. It took altogether way too long to pack my bags, as something in me was almost refusing to do it.
