I saw an article on the flight over - they finally BUSTED 6 ground crew involved in pilfering luggage at NAIA airport. Score one for the hapless traveler.

Now if they could also bust the 300 other guys who make a living opening suitcases at that dump of an airport, we'll be getting somewhere !

At least it's a start - and may give those who would consider doing this, but haven't yet been busted, some reason to at least limit their activities.

This goes on (and has been for years) and will continue unfortunately. Now it is even easier since you can't lock your luggage due to TSA requirements (unless you have those special "TSA approved" locks) Use caution in what you pack/check.........
