Hey, everybody. I love surfing, but have been mongering more lately--lol! Anyone check out the surf spots of the Philippines? I've heard of waves in La Union and plan to check it out. Have heard many things about Siargao too, and hope to visit. What are the mongering activities like there?

Best spots are Siargao, La Union, Cantanduanes and Borongon in Samar. There is also a spot in Zambales that is supposed to be great but I have never surfed in Zambales before. That could be a great find, considering it is not too far from Subic and Angeles City.

Great idea, Blazers. Thanks for the tip. Siargao was awesome, but my La Union trip didn't materialze due to the current typhoon du jour. I definitely plan on checking the other spots out eventually!
I heard there's a spot on Palawan that I want to check out too.

That was Alcatraz island was it not? Not much surf around there.
