Owned by the same people who own Central Park. Supposed to be opening Dec 1, 2006. The following info is from Roselle, who co-owns the place with her husband Guy:
Our room rates are as follows:
Executive room $48/night
Executive plus room $50/night (with bathtub)
Jacuzzi suite $65/night
Jacuzzi suite $75/night (jumbo or poolside)
Admiral suite $90/night (one of a kind).
The rates are inclusive of taxes and VAT. The hotel will feature a large swimming pool area, an outdoor bar, an atrium, elevator, etc. Our website is in the final stages of construction ..... it will be activated next week. The website link will be http://www.pacificbreezehotel.com.

Thanks for the info. Any word on Ethernet Internet Connection? Like the Orchid? I require my laptop when I am over there.... Thanks, \m/

Metal, just about every hotel built in AC in the last 3-4 years has hard-wired high speed internet access in the rooms. Central Park does (ethernet in room), and I'm sure the new, fancier hotel will as well. The definitive answer, though (maybe they'll try something kooky like wireless only), will be on their website, when it's up.
Phoenixguy, this is excellent, much anticipated information, thanks. Those prices are a bit higher than what I'd been hearing for the last nine months or so, but "high season" is coming in AC, and I'm sure they won't have a problem filling those new rooms.
BTW, "high season" is in quotes because it's a joke. While there ARE more guys trolling AC during the holidays (and it CAN be hard to book a room), the bars are still rather starved for customers, and getting a room can almost always be a problem in Angeles City if you don't book far enough ahead.
BTW, Central Park was training a BUNCH of new staff the last time I was there in anticipation of the new hotel opening. At these prices for the new rooms there, seems to reason that they'd take all the best staff from Central Park and move them over to the new place, but I'd bet Guy and Roselle wouldn't risk throwing Central Park to the wolves with a totally new rookie staff. I was told the new hotel would have a mix of new and old staff, staff that has always made ME feel like I was some sort of visiting dignitary.

Porker, he does that because you are a visiting dignitary. Hello.

Thanks for the info Porker. Maybe I'll stay in new digz next trip (which is coming soon).

Damn they are slow to get the website up...
Sent them a couple questions:
-Will it have a resturant and 24 room service?
-By Febuary, will the construction be complete?
-Will all the rooms have internet acsess?
1/ Yes, we will have a restaurant and 24-hour room service.
2/ The construction is nearing completion. We will open on this December.
3/ All rooms will have two internet ports and there will be wi-fi in select areas throughout the hotel.

Stopped by this nice, new hotel. I think this will soon be my hotel of choice in Angeles.
The admiral suite is really not that big. I could not tell too much of a difference between that and the jacuzzi plus room, but ah well. I doubt one of most respected members will be switching to this room if it is only size that matters!

Xen, I appreciate the effort, this hotel looks very promising. Interesting how many hotels are going up now. My experience w/Jacuzzi rooms were lukewarm--literally, not enough hot water.
Did you notice traffic noise when you visited the rooms though?
BTW: are those gals pictured part of your entourage? That one in the blue shirt and jeans seems real cute.

Thanks for the pictures !! I actually have reservations for both my usual suite in RA and the Admiral Suite here. Been waiting for pics to decide which to dump. Roselle said she would send me some as soon as the room was finished. You're right it ain't that big . Not worth $90 per day likely . I really like the 2 room setup at RA and will probably go back there.

This hotel is back on a side street off Santos. Traffic noise should not be an issue. The dreaded videokes are also a long way off.

Those are going to be your friendly waitresses at Pacific Breeze.
No traffic noise that I remember. It is back a block from Fields off Santos Street.

I hope that you got some long ass arms, or that is an optical illusion. Take a look at the first bathroom pic. How far away is that shit paper holder?
I second Merlins opinion on the girl in the middle. How would you compaire this hotel to the Royal Orchid Resort?

Thanks for the pics. I have reservations for economy room + bath tub for Feb 9-23. Switching to poolside jaccuzzi for the nights of Feb 14th and 15th (15th is my birthday) On the 'waiting list' for admiral suite those two nights. I should have no trouble finding 3 girls small enough to fit with me on the bed I hope.
Happy with my choice I guess. $50 a night in a new hotel, great reviews of service at their mother hotel, close to action but far back enough to kill noise, pool, internet in room, resturant, and 24 hour room service. I can live with that.

RE: lukewarm water. I mentioned to Roselle via email that such was an issue at the Royal Amsterdam. She seemed to believe Pacific Breeze has the hot water issue covered. I guess we'll see.

I am not sure why they call them jacuzzi's when they are really bathtubs with weak jets. Looks like its the same construction company and furniture company that has supplied all of the hotels lately. If I am going to pay $50 for a room, it better be as nice as the Novotel Mangga Dua and thus far doesnt look that way.
By Phoenixguy on Monday, December 04, 2006 - 11:40 pm: Edit |
Hey - I'll pay $50 for the room if the chick standing next to Roselle comes with it.
By Khun_mor on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 - 05:55 pm: Edit |
Her'es some pictures that Roselle sent me of the completed Admiral Suite . They're not on the website yet. I'm still not sure I want to stay there. Looks OK but likely not worth $90 per day.

I've never been to this hotel, but found the link on another messageboard. Just thought I might share.
From the photos, the place looks fairly new.

I had breakfast with KM there. He was of the opinion that it was not any better than the Royal Amsterdam.
Just say no to $100/night hotels in AC

There was a link with pictures posted here by Xenono well over 2-3 months ago I believe. Look under AC hotel section . It just opened in December 2006.

RA does not have a pool and as you know a pool is a major attraction for the species of brown bunny that we all hunt. The staff at Pacific Breeze were incredible- equal or superior to their sister hotel Central Park.
The big suite at PB is $90 per night compared to $150 at RA although it's also less than half the size as well. The other rooms are comparable cost between the two hotels I believe. Big advantage is they did not soak me 5% for paying with credit card like RA always does. Guy and Roselle are all about customer service.
By Ironeagle on Thursday, March 08, 2007 - 09:29 pm: Edit |
Im against paying no more then I have to on these trips. I would be happy with the $30 room at the Swiss Chalet. However, this hotel looks like a great Orchid Inn alternative.
I like the Orchid Inn, but the rooms need some updating and $55 seems like too much. The Orchid rooms seem what I would expect from a third-world hotel. The surrounding pool and bar are cool, but also need a little updating as well.
The $48 Pacific Breeze room is still expensive, but the accomodations and pool look much nicer then the Orchid. Rooms appear more upscale.
If the decision were $55 at the Orchid or $48 at the Breeze, I say go with the Breeze.

Just stayed a couple of nights there last week. IMHO, it probably has the best "high-end"/value combination in all of AC. Brand spankin new, it has nicer rooms than the HRA and the Wild Orchid. About the same price as HRA, but newer and has a pool. Way cheaper than the Wild Orchid.
I can't compare it to ABC (never checked it out) but WAAAY cheaper and much better location.
Only drawback is the food was really lame and the service really slow, even by AC standards.

11 days of rain, so when the weather report said it would clear up, I got a room here. The pool, service, and internet were great! But there was some construction clanging coming through the walls on the wing by the street at 8am (early Oct/07) and I had a room near the stairs. I never noticed the footsteps and chatting until early in the morning. Really ticked me off. Definitely request a quieter room! I got the cheapest room available, but they soon ran out of room. I guess it's popularity has grown!
By Phoenixguy on Sunday, March 16, 2008 - 05:24 pm: Edit |
I feel I must throw in a word of caution on Pacific Breeze - they have opened a new "annex" just across the street from the main building. Gurock and I both got stuck there on our recent stay. We were not happy campers. Let me list a few reasons why this wing was less desireable than the main building:
- no elevator
- rotten-egg smell in water
- very poor water pressure (on numerous occasions)
- the aircon blew directly on the bed (could not swing it far enough to get the air to go elsewhere)
I was happy with my stay before in the main building, but I would not want to stay in this annex again.
Buyer beware - and if you want to be placed in the main building - make that clear when making your reservation.

What's the format on reserving. Online with CC or should I call in? I don't see a secure website.
What's the difference between Exec room and Exec room plus.

CN-
I've always reserved online w/o problems. I don't think they require a credit card in advance (amazing, I know). Instead, once you do have a reservation, Roselle will ask you to reconfirm between 4-10 days prior to arrival (she'll send you email asking you to do so at that time). If you don't reconfirm, they will cancel your reservation.
I don't know the diff between those rooms. I always get a jacuzzi room for the party value they provide. They key, though, is to get a room in the original main wing and not in the Oahu Wing (which is a bit noisier).

Sounds good. Did you take the airport pick-up service, since I read no cabs are available at Clark.
Thx

The only difference is a bathtub in the plus room . Same otherwise.
They charge 300 peso for pick up at Clark. I would use it or use Margarita travel or Beeline travel . Same price I believe however.

Yes, I use the PB pick-up service.

I have stayed at the Pacific Breeze for two extended stays in the 'annex'. I love it there in spite of the a/c positioning. The rooms are very nice and it still seems like a new hotel to me. I love the food at the poolside restaurant especially the beef caldereta and the beef curry. Their staff has some beauty contest winners and they are always providing great customer service IMO.

There's a couple of waitresses at PB - Lot and Jeana that are absolutely gorgeous. I have barhopped with them but have never gotten any further than that .
I suspect they have pinoy boyfriends or are perhaps lesbians. How else could they resist my studly body and suave charms ??
By Bwana_dik on Thursday, November 27, 2008 - 07:35 am: Edit |
KM-
They are both cuties, and great fun to joke around with. But I've yet to hear of anyone nailing either.
By Lancer on Thursday, November 27, 2008 - 01:45 pm: Edit |
Little Jeana sure is cute and another one who stands out to me at the Lanai cafe there is Josh. Man, she is gorgeous. Beautiful ass, legs and face and hair and voice, she has it all. Those skimpy little dresses they wear don't leave much to the imagination. You can almost see up their asses which would be a wonderful place to be.
I have only talked with them and never asked them out. I tend to think they have local boyfriends and know us for the butterflies we truly are.

Most of them love to dance and will go out barhopping or to Klub Class disco. I have never gotten one back to my hotel either - even when I'm not at Pcaific Breeze.
Yeah Joshy is a knockout as well. Forgot about her !!

A friend told me that the Pacific Breeze's license to operate was suspended (i.e. closed temporarily) due to tax issues and negotiations with the government. My friend sent me a copy of the e-mail he received from the owners. Anyone else know anything more about this situation?
By Bwana_dik on Saturday, September 05, 2009 - 07:21 pm: Edit |
From another board...the story appears to be true. Other reports suggest that the closing is temporary, and PB hopes to be reopened by the 8th.

Just went through the different thread's, looking for information on the Wild Orchid Hotel that I would like to try the next time.
Just as an FYI, Pacific Breeze is open (i.e. the closing previously reported was definitely temporary).
After my 3rd stay here, I do want to try another location on my next visit for change of scenery.
Of course just like one would expect, the hotel is super girl friendly. The only difference I noticed on this trip was a call from the front desk each time a girl left, telling me that my guest left and asking if all was 'ok'. The food is so so, but then again I still have to find one place with good food in AC.... a couple of the newer waitresses weren't as friendly as the ones I remember from past visit, but overall still good service.
The only thing that drove me a little crazy - was in itself a little crazy (or maybe I was just going nuts at that point) - was the faint CONSTANT barking of dogs in the afternoon to early evening. Trying to nap was a little hard, as those #%%#$ dogs would not stop barking even for a minute.
Just got to remember my mosquito repellent the next time - those buggers were eating me alive in the early evening hours close to the pool.
