No where near the beach, this upscale hotel near checkpoint will feature $99 rooms with no VAT, no credit card fees and free breakfast.

For the two most expensive rooms in Angeles, they will feature at $300/night junior suite and a $500/night master suite.

This hotel will supposedly open November 17th.

Just guessing at URL's, I found the URL for this hotel:

Hmm when we were there just 2 weeks ago it looked far from being finished ! I wonder if November is possible. Even I would not pay $300 or $500 bucks a night for a room in AC !!
I'll stick with my RA room thanks. That's expensive enough .

By Xenono on Sunday, November 12, 2006 - 11:25 pm:  Edit

And all the while I was thinking to myself, "I bet KM has a new room in AC when this hotel opens." :-) Glad to hear you will be staying at RA.

Hey Xen
I dusted off this ancient thread to let you know you were right just a bit premature. I hope you're not always that quick on the trigger.

I stayed at ABC this past trip in the second biggest room - $285 per night with a 10% discount from go2phil membership. Still overpriced .

The service was mixed. Half of the front desk staff were clueless a few were great . You have to learn which ones to deal with. The maid service was excellent. The restaurant was way overpriced and mediocre food. A tiny American breakfast for 265 peso . Pathetic. The place was usually empty .

Here's a few pics of the pool area]restaurant and the room.
BTW

Of course for the price the girl came included with the room !!

ABC ABC 2 ABC 3 ABC 4 ABC 5 ABC 6 ABC 7 ABC 8 ABC 9 ABC 10 ABC 11 ABC 12

By Murasaki on Friday, March 14, 2008 - 06:22 pm:  Edit

For the $285, did they include the girl on the bed, or was she extra?

Love that bathroom by the way!

By Blazers on Friday, March 14, 2008 - 06:54 pm:  Edit

I just dont understand paying that much for a room to go to Angeles. Much better destinations with hotter girls if price is not an issue. I can see spending that much to stay at the Oriental or Sukhothai in Bangkok(and yes you can get that price) or even a bit more for the Four Seasons in Bali but spending that much for a 3.5 star hotel in a third world shithole....I dont get it.

By Khun_mor on Friday, March 14, 2008 - 10:11 pm:  Edit

The girl on the bed is of course included with the room at that ridiculous price. They eliminated the free breakfast and substituted the girl ! :-)

Actually it's Nimfa my GF. We had just come back from Boracay that's why her suitcase is on the chair. She was engrossed in some Pinay Soap Opera.

Blazers.

The room is there - someone has to stay in it. The room across from me was $385 and had someone in it for my entire stay .
It was almost worth it to have decent air con in the ceiling and not blowing directly on the bed. Also when you take out the key, everything goes off except the aircon. It stays on while you are gone. Definitely nice to return to a cool room after walking the length of Perimeter.

The bed can easily sleep 5-6 persons it's friggin HUGE. It also has a plush pillow top mattress that is almost better than my mattress at home !!
I managed 3 girls one night but never got the bed filled up to capacity . Next trip I'll try harder.

I am not saying the room is economical at all. In my situation right now the price does not matter to me - that's all.

The oil paintings are obviously done by a Pilipino. The one in the bedroom is done to look like a Renaissance painting but the naked girl is a filipina and is texting on a cellphone - seen in her left hand!! Very clever .

By Khun_mor on Saturday, March 15, 2008 - 04:02 pm:  Edit

Oh by the way . As for the crappy restaurant - the American Breakfast was 360 pesos not 260 . A typo on my part.

This is what you get for $9 US---

ABC breakfast

Not exactly a feast for that money.

By Phoenixguy on Sunday, March 16, 2008 - 05:13 pm:  Edit

While I would love to have that bed to sleep in (and 3 or 4 pinays to help fill it ), no way would this room be worth $300 a night to me. As for the bathroom - I actually prefer the huge bathrooms at the Clarkton ($70/night) - massive amounts of counter space, something rare in Angeles bathrooms. Gotta admit though, real aircon that doesn't blow straight on you, and keeps running while you're out, would be sweet.

By Khun_mor on Sunday, March 16, 2008 - 08:22 pm:  Edit

Phoenixguy
Actually the shower there sucked and I complained bitterly about it.Worst part of the room. Tiny enclosed space because it's half taken up by a sauna that I'm sure 95% of the guests never even think about using.
Give me a big walk in shower where you can clean up with your honeyko du jour or du noir.

By Woodway on Monday, March 17, 2008 - 03:17 pm:  Edit

I also stayed in the above room and loved it. The service I received was great from everyone there. Only ate there on Friday night when they have the buffet.

When I was there it rained almost the whole time and they have a car that took us every where I wanted to go and picked us up with a text to one of the front door guys. Sure a trike would have been cheaper but it was nice to ride in air con car and not have to deal with thieving trike drivers.

I will be there again this summer and stay in the same room again as it will be hot as hell and having the air con on when I return is a must.

If I did not stay at ABC, Pacific Breeze is also a nice new hotel.

By Portege on Monday, March 17, 2008 - 07:13 pm:  Edit

It doesnt matter where you stay or how much you pay for a room, you get laid. I think the pool might help a little in luring the women over and keeping them during the day, butt....you still get laid whether you stay at the Central Park, Swiss Chalet, etc. its all the same.

Hotel has a name for itself. It is filled with every amentity that you can imagne. I costs about 100 USD a night but it is truely worth it. It is near the action. Staff is incredible. see there website . If you aren't worried about the cost. The comfort is worth it.

How far away is the ABC Hotel from The Lewis Grand hotel?
I am looking at booking the ABC but have some friends staying at the Lewis Grand. Want to be nearby.

By Fooledagain1 on Saturday, April 10, 2010 - 06:15 pm:  Edit

fairly close

By Khun_mor on Saturday, April 10, 2010 - 08:15 pm:  Edit

Walking distance but not late at night. That stretch of road is pretty deserted and zero lights. Have been muggings and at least a couple of murders along that stretch at night.

By Anzac15 on Monday, April 12, 2010 - 08:12 pm:  Edit

Thanks KM.
I will be in AC on Saturday for 7 days with a couple of friends. Looking forward to it...!
I will submit a report on my return....!

Just got back fron AC 3 days ago.
I ended up staying at the ABC Hotel and I would reccomend it to anyone.
I am going back again this August and will definately be staying at the ABC Hotel again.
Standard room is $99USD a night.
Excellent Rooms with 3 porn channels free.
Awesome pool area with nice waitress'
Great food and available 24hrs.
I would highly reccomend the ABC Hotel.

By Blazers on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 - 09:29 pm:  Edit

If you go back please refrain from tipping these girls as if you were mongering in Japan or Germany. People go to AC because it is cheap and the girls are cute enough, please try to keep it that way.

By Anzac15 on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 - 07:52 pm:  Edit

Blazers
I'll take that on board for my next trip.
Thanks to everyone on CH for all the good advice.
Cheers.

I can see this is a world class hotel and no denying about. It just too sweet to my wallet. other than that, if the situation arises, i too would stay there.
AC is or was known to me for a cheap and affordable place to stay and party. now, with so many Koreans, taiwanese, chinese, japs and whatever trying to throw the house out of the window the first night is becoming increasingly difficult to enjoy a fun and reasonable time. who knows, maybe in a few more years is going to becoming a mini-Tokyo!!!

By Baxter on Monday, June 21, 2010 - 10:46 pm:  Edit

Maybe I wasn't paying attention but I didn't know about the nine story ABC addition going up until I got there on Thursday (the block layers are up to floor eight.) I tried to deal with the noise for a couple of days but ultimately bailed to LG.

The debate rages whether ABC is worth one hundred bucks a night and up, but until this project is completed around X-mas, the answer is clearly no.

By Bambu on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 - 05:30 am:  Edit

Baxter,
I am booked at the ABC over the 4th of July weekend. Was your room in the back of the hotel or in the front? I have already paid for my room. I hope the noise isn't too loud. Anyone know if they might offer a discount due to the construction noise?

Thanks,
Bambu

By Metal on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 - 08:03 am:  Edit

FWIW - Both Central Park and Pacific Breeze have construction projects directly adjacent to them... bam bam bam in the morning... also have steal beams being dropped and loaded from truck to site all day.

By Baxter on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 - 10:24 pm:  Edit

Bambu...My room was in front facing the pool. I doubt if many rooms are escaping the noise. The "when " is pretty unpredictable, there can be guys working away at pretty much all hours. I was not offered any discount nor did I ask.

I made it clear at check in that my stay might be shorter than planned due to the construction and they had no problem with that.

As a side note, Savannah Suites also has construction going on nearby.

By Bambu on Thursday, June 24, 2010 - 06:27 am:  Edit

Baxter,
Thank you for the information. I asked the same question over on AE and a poster mentioned they had no trouble with the noise. Maybe the got lucky? I am already booked and paid for. So I guess I need to keep my fingers crossed.

By Anzac15 on Friday, September 17, 2010 - 11:37 pm:  Edit

Just got back from Angeles City.
ABC hotel is the only place I stay.
Excellent food. Excellent rooms.
They are extending the hotel at the moment, so if you stay there expect a little construction noise.
I think they hope to be completted by January 2011.
But I don't know? They still look pretty far off completion.
Great hotel anyway. Do yourself a favour and stay there.
It's worth the extra money!

Angeles Beach Club must be quite a disappointment after Borocay resort. I am sure that AC will be a let down when I get there after Mactan diving.

The para-sailing and jet skiing at Angeles City Beach Club leaves a lot to be desired !

They're really dragging ass on getting the new tower completed, it looks like at least two more months of work.

By Lovingmarvin on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 - 06:44 pm:  Edit

I was considering staying at the ABC towards the end of January in a standard room.

Are most of the standard rooms towards the back, or are any facing the street? I am very street noise sensitive.....

By Lovingmarvin on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 - 07:06 pm:  Edit

Well, I submitted the reservation request and got this response "I have booked you to the highest Non-Smoking floor, then it is away from the Road side as it is in the Pool Side View."

So I guess I will be in good shape from a noise perspective....

Anyone have any experience with these rooms?

By Baxter on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 - 08:20 am:  Edit

LM,

The Pool View room I was in had no street noise issues at all. They have a roof-top bar (that's always empty) generating some pretty loud music until closing time. Shouldn't be a problem for someone keeping monger hours unless you plan on retiring early on your first night after a long plane ride.

By Lovingmarvin on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 - 07:00 pm:  Edit

I always stay out late, even on the day I arrive after a long trip. My average time to sleep is around 3-5:00am.

Do you remember what time the roof-top bar closes?

By Baxter on Friday, December 23, 2011 - 09:16 am:  Edit

It shuts down fairly early, I think around midnight or 1:00 am. I should mention that I haven't stayed there in a while so my intel isn't all that current.
