I have recently relocated to Bangkok and as such have really slowed down on mongering in the city itself.

From time to time, I wander around nearby and have recently noticed that the talent level at the new Thermae Bar steps up a notch between 1130pm and 2am.

Yes, there are lots of Asians there now (mostly Japs and Koreans) but for me, it does bring more of the girls with the kind of looks I like!

One evening as I was leaving, I met Khun Far at the steps outside near the road. She has visited me a few times and we made some pics and videos.

What I have put up is the censored version which I like more than the porno version which remains in my machine for private viewing only. Sorry guys, I am too easily identifiable in that version to put that up. It was fun making these videos!

where is the new thermae bar??? in nana??

Between Soi 11 and 13 Sukhumvit Road in the fairly modern building. There is another bar with lots of pool tables on the upper level while Thermae sort of goes downstairs into the basement.
It does not have the character of the old institution but is slowly returning to it's old glory days!

Crazier, when you say "new", are you referring to a renovation? The Thermae has been there since I first visited in 1998.

New in that the old Thermae was next to Soi 11 close to the entrance of the Ambassador Hotel of that time.

The classic skank pit where you entered by the toilet to get to the grotty bar all in the basement of that old place.

Not sure it moved but, it must have been several years.

1998? You must have been to the "new" place only!

I do miss on the old Thermae!
That's because amongst all those skanks and dreaded UGLY OLD WOMEN, the sudden appearance of a young sweet relatively unspoilt new country "cousin" was absolutely refreshing and candy to the eye at prices that were affordable.

Further, it was the regular "hang out" of some of the most respectable expats of Bangkok of those days!

so how is it living in Bangkok??

Visiting is far different from living here as you will probably know.

I do like it myself.

Some things to consider:

1) Continuing source of income and career if you are still pretty young and moving up the ladder.

2) Accommodation. In Bangkok, this could be expensive if you want luxury and a great location.

3) Food - Are you into Thai food and able to eat at all kinds of places or do you need to eat Western mostly and in restaurants only? I eat everywhere that the food is affordable and good including the streets!

4) Besides mongering, what else do you do? Are these things going to be within your reach in Bangkok?

5) P4P can prove to be pretty expensive if you are going about this everyday. I abstain more often than I indulge because I would bangkrupt my bank if I did it everyday. When you are making a short trip, it's different as you want to maximize your time and cost of trip.

Right now, I would not choose to live elsewhere besides Thailand. Bangkok can be pretty polluted too so you have to take that into consideration. My later objectives are to move out of Bangkok either to a beach - island location or into the mountains.
