This place was a short trike ride from most of the action I'm used to. But it was the only place to see American college bowl games, due to the Armed Forces Network dish they have by the pool. I like the nipa hut theme by the pool, but haven't stayed there. The wait staff seem friendly, sexy, and made watching a game there a whole lot of fun!
IMHO, it sure beat watching cricket at the other 12 places I tried to find my game at--lol!
BTW, I haven't stayed there, but remember looking at the flyer and the prices seem OK.

The hotel has to offer all you need for a great stay and good times. the rooms are reasonable price and have all the comfort you expect. the restaurant is across the hotel and it also includes the swimming pool and the more deluxe rooms. food is excellent and you have the convenience of 24 hrs room service, plus all other freebies like fridge, cable tv ac, hot water, etc. only thing i haven't check is WIFI but i think you could get it in some rooms or the resturant area. i am now in a standard room and is ok, was put first in a VIP room 'cause my standard room wasn't ready and you could tell the VIP is more spacious and other than that you get all the same things you would see in a standard room. maybe if you stay in one of the more deluxe rooms by the pool, you could get a lot more luxury add ons. still the standard is more than adequate for my needs and happy with it. already entertained 2 girls and they were happy spending the night there. a good choice to select the Swagman Narra resort as my base of operations here in AC.///

So, what do you use for transportation to get back and forth to the hot spots?
Why write a hotel review without posting how much the room costs?
I think wi-fi would be pretty important to most of us.

My comments about the Swagman hotel are pretty general, so much for that. yes, would be nice to know the room rates and is so easy, you just have to log into the hotel website is there you have it. no war secrets, please. i'm paying P1,350 for the standard, also yes, you have WIFI throughout the hotel and in ALL the rooms. signal is as strong as Pinatubo volcano!!! i'm writing this comments from my room now!!!
As far as going back and forth, there is a hotel jeepney that takes you to Fields when you're ready. also, in the hotel card there is a cell number so you could call the hotel when you're ready to be pick up and back with your honey of the night in tow!!!. Now myself, i've used the jeepney some times to go to Fields and sometimes i just walk (20', esay walk), for those with FAT ASSES, well, you got a problem and don't blame me. when i'm ready to go back to the hotel late at night with my honey, so far i just spend P50-60 and catch any tryciclo to get back. is easier, practical and QUICKIER, don't have to wait for the hotel jeepney to show up. i'm sure this is not going to break anybodys wallet.
Like i said, this is a great place to stay and monger while in Angeles city, at least for me.///

You're advising people to walk 20 minutes (in tropical heat) with a bargirl (or several) in tow and accusing those that don't like it of being "fat asses"?
Swagman location sucks, I'm sorry. You're nowhere near where ANY monger would want to be, which means several round trips daily via foot power or public transportation or the dreaded trikes. I think most people would prefer to be closer to ground zero unless they have a live-in girl and don't plan on going out much.

isn't the called NARRA HOTEL? it is owned by swagman, but not branded as such.
The real SWAGMAN HOTEL is in MANILA and it is pretty much a shithole. The only reason to stay there is for the free airport shuttle and next morning bus service to Angeles City. I am very unlikely to stay there again.

Well;
What can I say!!! different strokes for different folks. a zillion places to stay in AC and all kinds of budgets. this hotel offer transportation to/from Fields; up to the person to used it or not, not telling nobody what to do. now, if somebody is fat, like i said again don't blame me.
I've stayed at the Sawgman Narra here in AC many times ever since i first came to this country long time ago and is ok (at least for me). Have the pleasure to met a Hombre menber and what a change to barhop with a fellow monger and raise hell in the bars!!! I wouldn't call the Swagman in manila a "shithole" , like somebody said and is just a personal opinion, don't bother me a bit. anybodys free to go and stay wherever they like.
Guys shouldn't get work out if disagreeing with others comments, don't believe anybodys is a final authority on this matter and that's the main purpose of this forum to exchange ideas, opinions, advices and not get their blood pressures up for plain talk.///

We did exchange opinions. Mine was actually delivered without calling people names.
Pretty funny you went into my old trip reports and complained that I didn't include a thorough hotel review! You DO realize, don't you, that different threads have different purposes?

I stayed there in the 80's and it was one of the nicer and fun hotels in AC. They had great pool parties there every weekend. It is however in Diamond subdivision and I would say about 2 miles from Kokokmos.
Too much walking for my fat ass or a skinny ass or anyone that has had more than 2 drinks and a half a brain. It is also down a side street off of a side street, off of McArthur so getting some type of a ride after dark would be recommended.

While I strongly considered MP's recco of Swagman for a good "bang for the buck" for an AC hotel, I think I'll stick with C. Park... HMMMM, I wonder why?
