I purchased a new map of Bangkok during my recent pit stop, as my Nelles map was getting pretty old. I opted for the Periplus map, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in owning a quality map to the Big Mango.
Not only is it an excellent, high-quality map, but it also surprised the hell out of me by showing a large number of the major massage parlors! Not all of them are on it, but many are, such as Bangkok Cozy, Chao Phraya 2, New Cleopatra, Ceasars, Emmanuelle, Venus, Mona Lisa, and so on. In addition, it also shows all three of the main gogo areas. It definitely would be a very useful tool for a newbie to the city.

To display the above map on your cellphone, first download and install Google Maps for Mobile (GMM) on your phone if not already there.
Then you need to load this URL into GMM:
http://icarus.maps.googlepages.com/bangkok.kmz
To do this you need to:
• Open GMM in your cellphone
• Select ‘Search’ option
• Enter the above URL into the search box
• GMM will open a Bangkok street map with locations marked

The famous market on a train track is pointed out on a map above from a japanese monger site, I'd assume its where the Japanese writing is.
