As of Jan 2006 - very cheap rooms. I payed something like 900baht for the night. Guest Friendly although the nearest action is on the street. Daily Breakfast voucher with room, plus they had excellent food. My room was actually a parking lot room, which I have read afterwards is not where you want to be placed. I didn't have any complaints about the room except for the fact that I saw one small roach in the bathroom - no big deal I've seen giant roaches that fly before so this was small potatos.


How I got there:

I stayed here for one day in Jan 2006. It was my virgin trip to BKK, and I literally had nowhere to stay on the first night as my flight arrived at 11:40pm. I didn't want to book anything ahead of time and I thought of just going with the flow.

Don't get me wrong, I had booked reservations for Omni hotels on the following day but I was not about to waste money by paying for 8hrs of sleep at +1900baht.

So I decided to wing it...

I am pretty social and I thought eventually I'll meet someone that will be able to guide me in the right direction, and that I did. 45yr old gentleman from the west coast recommend me to Honey Hotel while waiting in line at BKK Airport. I followed him to the Hotel and we later hit the street for some action. His Thai was good, but it was weird becuase he had never heard of Nana Plaza, but was a frequent visitor of Soi Cowboy. Nevertheless, as we sat down on the street tables drinking beer and watching the eye candy pass by (His eyes always on the hunt as he was telling me tips about the scene), this veteran went for the prowl on two hot Thais sitting accros from us, one memorable one in a blue dress with a rack to kill for. He later came back and excused himself as he was taking both ladies home! The total price for both 2000baht!

I never saw him again after that night but that was my first night in Bangkok, and for that brief moment he was my idol.
