Probably the most reliable afternoon venue is the Beer Garden on soi 7. It is almost always packed with available women. Opinions vary radically on their overall quality (I'm generally not a fan of the place, but some of my friends love it). As far as I know, no place else in Bangkok has that many working girls available in the afternoon. Gulliver's on soi 5 also usually has some freelancers playing pool early in the day, but I'm talking about maybe 4-12 women, whereas the Beer Garden will have, literally, dozens. Beyond that, I understand that some of the small bars in the tunnel walk-through between sois 5 and 7 are open early on, as well. Again, my guess is that opinions as to quality will vary radically. I would also say that the morning night bar, it is right next to Nana Plaza is a solid spot. They open around 11 am. There are always a good group of girls there. Night shift comes in at 7:30 pm. It is fun to hang out, listen to tunes and if you want some nice afternoon action, take a girl home.

For best daytime hangouts for drinking, chatting with girls, and possibly taking one for mattress olympics, Morning Night is probably the best. It is located on Soi Nana (Soi 4), between Sukhumvit Road and the entrance to Nana Plaza. There are some other beer bars further down the road that are also open, such as Melody's UK, etc.

For freelancers, Gulliver's and the Soi 7 Beergarden are the best options.

IMO, the best daytime options for awesome sex is Tulip. I believe they open at 11. Never had a session that rated below excellent there.

Just got back from a week working in BKK. I decided to explore Soi 7/1 this time around as I had never given it a try before (Soi is mainly noted as being home of the Eden Club). On my first day I was looking for a beer and massage after a long flight. Turns out you can get both together in many of the "massage bars" on this soi. They tend to open about 12:00 noon with more girls turning up as the day progresses. Ambiance is a bit like some of the Pattya bars on Soi 6 or 7. So are the girls, i.e. older - late 20's early 30's. I plumped for a British owned bar - the Boo-za-bar. I started with a beer and was joined by one of the girls. Massage was next on the agenda. This started off OK but my masseuse, Ning, did not want to get oil on her clothes, which of course had to come off. A great boom-boom session followed on the massage table. 500 baht tip for the "extras", but I ended up barfining her and we had an all nigh fuck-fest at my hotel, continuing well into the afternoon of the next day. Highly recommended for relaxed daytime action.

Icarus: I always assumed the most you could get at those massage places were handjobs; you obviously did better. Have you only had one such experience there (which could have been a fluke) or do you (or anyone else) have information that sex as an extra is fairly standard.

I agree with Murasaki that the sex at Tulip is about as good as you can find in LOS (hope I haven't exagerated your post). You often have to compromise on looks there (the better looking girls are hard to book), but on my visits I've usually found at least one girl there I am happy with. Although not a big deal, I also like the general attitude at Tulip. For example, at most soapies they try to hit you up for a girl's drink when you go to the room; at Tulip (which isn't a soapie though) they give you and the girl a complementary drink once you get to the room (at least the iced tea, which is what I order, is free). In money terms, doesn't amount to much, but I like the attitude conveyed by this gesture. My recollection too is it opens at 11 a.m.; it closes around midnight, although last call may be around 11 p.m.

It's just outside the Thong Lo skytrain station, on the south side of Sukhumvit Road. There are probably more specific directions in the Tulip thread (Asia - Thailand - Bangkok - Massage Parlors - Tulip). I think I gave precise directions in my trip report from early 2006.

Fully agree with your recommendation about Morning Night - usually some very willing girls there at anytime of the day (or night). In fact my current long term GF came from there. I tend to use it more as a last drink stop at the end of a bar hop, on the way back to the hotel.

My researh into soi 7/1 bars and girls is somewhat limited, with a sample size of one! But I get the distinct impression that "everything" is usually very much on the girls' agenda. This impression was reinforced when I went back a second time for a massage with Ning at the Boo-za-bar. When we went upstairs for the massage, one of the other girls was energetically entertining a customer with more than just a hand job, and we decided to wait a while before starting our session. This time around the clothes came off straight away and it was right into boom boom. Ironically, I was slightly disappointed, as I actually wanted a massage on this occasion!
I think to a large extent, what you get in these bars is very much up to you and the chemistry with girl in quesiton. But it should be fairly clear before you go upstais as to what is likely to be on offer. If she has been stroking your dick for the last half hour while you drink your beer then its odds-on that you are in for something more than a relief massage upstairs.
