Grace is open 24 hours a day. Lots of arabs and the place is pretty dark. Girls who hang out at the Grace usually like to do short time and return to Grace.

I had better luck finding good freelancers at the Angel's Disco. I like to go there late and find a girl. After closing I take the girl to eat, I let the girl choose. She usually picks the street vendor and returns the gratitude by staying long time and performing in bed. I usually gave the girls 1000 baht in the morning and did not receive any complaints.

Try to find girls who seem to like you. You'll have much better service and much better time. Good luck.

Grace was usually the most viable backup when we didn't make our selection (second or third for the day) by 2am. Before 2am there are much better option.

The good looking girls in front of Nana usually get snatched soon and there are always tons of ladyboys mixed in. Most are obvious, but some aren't so care must be taken.

The nice thing about the Grace was no ladyboys. I never saw a ladyboy in the place. There are lots of Arabs, but it was never dark when I was there.

It has been reported that the Grace is now full of drunken farangs looking for a fight.

In most cases if you havn't made your selection by midnight then you will probably be too drunk to pick one by 2:00 am.

it is exempt from the 2:00am curfew because it's located in a 24hr building =(Grace Hotel) .Right now the crowd is predominantly Middle Eastern but as always the girls are Thai.

No bar fines and the same short time long time prices as Thermaes... Playboy and penthouse short time Hotels are within walking distance but best to take a cab (always use a meter taxi and make sure he turns on the meter or just get out and find another. once you know what the actual prices are then you negotiate if it turns out to be cheaper for some reason.)

Are you sure that is the reason they are allowed to stay open longer. Angels disco and lobby bar are both within the Nana hotel, a 24 hour hotel. They are required to close at 2 AM. The Thermae is located within a hotel, that I assume is a 24 hour hotel. They now close at 2 AM.

The so-caled 24-hr rule of hotels was a gray area
in terms of operating hours for coffee shops and disco's. But it would appear that the local Gov't is now making up it's own rules again. It's a loop hole to get around the 2:00am closing.

basement lounge serves customers after 2:00am, when all other nightspots close due to the recent crackdown. everyone will go there: high class hookers, who didn't make it at the classier discothekes like Q-BAR, SPASSO'S and RIVA'S, bargirls, gogo-dancers, some black girls from the surrounding area ( Sukhumvit Soi 3 ) and the recently opened club GULLIVERS ( Soi 5 ). just pay 100 Baht cover charge ( which entitles you to one drink ), and stay until 4:00 / 5:00 am. pick-up is very easy, and all the above will accompany you for Baht 1.000 to Baht 2.000, short-time or full night. a good option therefore is the PLAYBOY HOTEL, just around the corner, no questions asked, Baht 500,- room charge ( includes two condoms ). i'd say, probably 150 to 300 girls are ready for pick-up every day, weekends are packed. just beware of odd pricing for drinks, usually Baht 100 for beers before 2:00am, that changes to Baht 140,- and up to Baht 200,- for GT's, whisky etc.

Being an old Bangkok hand and living here since over 7 years I find the Grace Hotel still the best place to go after 2am. Well, we all still remember the good times in the Big T (Thermae) but they seem to be over but hopefully not gone forever ( the goverment is considering to extend the hours to 4am). However, the Grace is very unreliable these days, because you can never be sure if they are open or not, or if they serve alcohol or not. Before I used to go in there and paid my 100THB Ticket to get in. Adding another 20THB and I got a big bottle of Singha with Ice. Now, I get a small Singha.Last Saturday was a good night.Place was packed with all kinda people and lots of nice birds were hanging out there. I also had nights coming there and found myself alone there with a few other looking farangs. You never sure and this is what bothers me the most. In regards to the Arabs, they are most likely upstairs and not downstairs in the Coffee Shop. I noticed lots of Russian girls these days.....

I have only been to the Grace CS twice. THe first time I went back in April of 2003, I found a gorgeous little Burmese girl, that looked Hindi. She was hot from head to toe. She had the beautiful long hair down to her sweet tight ass, and a great set of tits. She loved sex too, and was open to anything, and everything. I liked her so much I kept her for a few days. The second time I went to the Grace in July of this year, it was very crowded, so I just went across the street to the Bamboo Beer Bar. Well, most of you who have been to Bangkok probably know the Grace Coffee shop. Nowadays it has become more important though as it is one of the few places still open after the 2 AM closing time which is enforced pretty strict by the men in brown! After 2 AM, 100 Baht get's you in, for that you will get a coupon for a drink. Drinks are reasonable priced there and if you don't come all that late you should be able to find a table (either stand up or even for seating.

Now, the most important things, the girls. As for me, I speak fluent thai, there is the best selection of freelancers (in terms of quality not quantity. Many people would not agree, but I am more into the "amateurs"§ and not into the professionals. I met, for example, a 26 year old secretary there who works for Thai Airways during the day and sometimes comes to the Grace to earn some extra money if the rent is due. She was erather beautiful, and , as it turned out, one of the best fucks I ever had.

There are also plenty of Robinson or Central Departmentstore workers there to earn some extra bucks, also students (even though sometimes you gotta be careful becuase i once talked to a girl and she was only 16 - I even saw her ID card - better stay away from underage girls in Bangkok).

The girls are easy to approach, most come in pairs and will just be happy if you talk to them, maybe pay them a drink. When it comes to Money, I have seen it all at the Grace, from girls who just wantesd a fuck and would go for free to girls who thought they could get 2000 Baht for short term (well maybe there are some crazy tourists who pay 2000 for short term). The average in my expirience though is from 300 - 500 for shorttime and not more then 700 for the night.

Since I own a condo just up the road (soi 4) i never need a hotel for a short time, but for anybody who can't bring the girl to his room, they will show you some shorttime hotel in the area, there are plenty.

So, all in all, for me, the Grace is one of the best freelancer places in BKK as the famuos Thermae is not what it used to be anymore and i therefore try to avoid it.

So, try it out, you might find yourself liking it. Grace coffeeshop is located on Soi 3 (Nana Tai),If you get out of Nana Plaza, just turn left, cross Sukhumvit, follow Soi Nana on the other side, Grace Coffeeshop is in the Basement of Grace Hotel, around 500 Meters into the Soi on your right. Grace Hotel is a Hotel preferred by Arabs, also in the coffe shop, many Arabs - so if you dont want to see arabs, dont go there, but they are friendly enoug there and presonally, I had never any problem with anyone down there.

You could get an ugly Thai freelancer for 500 baht shorttime 20 years ago , but I have never heard of a Thai pooying being happy with under 1,000 baht ST, Do you offer them 300 - 500 up front or just hand it to them as they are walkng out the door. I cannot believe ,unless you look like Brad Pitt, that you are going to get a decent looking girl to go for what you are offering.

Grace is not one of my favorite hangouts. I have rarely found any quality poo ying there.

And yes, a lot of Arabs.

I have a friend who is a long-time Bkk veteran. I mentioned to him once that I never hear of people actually staying at the Grace. He told me he stayed there once, in 1999, and there were stickers all over the halls and on all the doors of some guy in a turban, his name was Laudin or something like that.

If you can afford 1000, can you just as easily afford 2000? Maybe THAT is the least you can do.

It's VERY easy to find fresh talent new to town or a girl with a regular job that just needs a little "extra" to get by. These girls are GREAT lays and can be had for 500ST 1000LT. I register them at the DI BKK front desk and treat them like I would treat a regular girl. I have hit the jackpot like this soooOOOOOooo many times!! Oftentimes you can even keep the girl for a few days as they will HAPPILY call into work "sick" if you're paying them 5-7x what they would make working their straight job.
