Falang: Behind Bangkok's Smile
I ran into this movie some months ago while channel browsing. Although I missed the beginning, the rest of the movie was haunting. Note that this is not a happy film - although I found it amusing that they included subtitles for the Thai girl's dialog when I could understand her perfectly. Of course anyone unfamiliar with the accent would be baffled.
Although somewhat judgmental, it's still a must-see film for the way the presents a bar girl's view of the world. The ending is particularly poignant. If you have the opportunity, check it out.

The bargirl was getting annoyed at the film producers, they paid her barfine but didnt give her money because they was only chatting to her in the club, in the end she got fed up with them and did a disappearing act when they next turned up, so to finish the film they said that she had died
