I stayed here for a couple of nights in May,and found the hotel very nice,its a new hotel on the corner of Beach road and Soi 3.
Rooms are very big with a spacious bathroom and a rain shower (big showerhead that is fitted directly above your head and sort of rains down)
excellent value for money at 1000 baht,and my room had a sea view although i dont know if this was standard or i was just lucky.
well worth checking this hotel out while everything is still new and working.

i've stayed at baboona a couple times in the last year. rooms are starting to show a little wear and tear but still clean and nice. will stay there again.
right now, watch out for the rooms on the backside of the hotel. a new hotel is being built behind baboona and i'm sure the noise is not good (see comments about bj holiday hotel). stick with the sea view side, floors 4, 5, and 6 are the best as you can see over the trees to the water. i paid 1,300B per nt (on a weekly rate) at the end of june 2007.
breakfast is included in the room charge. nothing fancy but gets the job done. i was also able to get internet from time to time in the room. they don't advertise it but i connected to a wireless network "baboona" several times during my stay. wasn't a good connection but enough for basic stuff.
