this is another of the lady bars but not on hai ba trung but close. it is on cao ba quat and is next door to a restaurant called vasco's. my friend and i figured we'd stop in here and then try vasco's which is reportedly popular (live music on fridays and this was a friday). by the way, there is a yellow smiley face out front so hard to miss.

pool table and maybe 20 ladies. i think the ugliest bunch of the lady bars. that said, they were getting customers in here. we were the first and took the pool table in the front. then the next entrants were led thru a door to another room(s). perhaps we missed something by not going in there.

anyway, each time a girl walked up to me, i kindly said "no thanks no want company", then a new one would show up at my side and meekly ask for a drink. it was funny after the third gal, very frustrating after the sixth gal. and i simply put my beer down and walked out after the eighth one came by in a span of what seemed like two minutes.

i'm happy to buy a drink for a decent looking gal, especially when that combined with my beer costs only $5. but these girls didn't do anything for me.

one drawback here was the black cocktail dress uniform. sounds like it might make the gals look sexy but no. the uniforms worn in the other places were far superior - as in very little material used.

after this episode, i passed on dinner at vasco's and we hit a new spot, cali's.
