cali was one of my favorites even though i had a tough first night in there after my experience at smiley bar. cali and thien loc have the same ownership. the talent wasn't as good as 49 hai ba trung but there were a couple decent looking gals. my buddy took a gal and paid what we called our standard $60. then $20 for the hotel.

i blew a gasket after a gal that massaged my shoulders for about ten minutes demanded a tip before we left with our gals. i liked my gal but i just tossed her back after the incessant pestering for the tip from this other gal. i should have flipped her 50,000VND and moved on but it was a bad night for me. i went home solo and told my gal that i'd be back the next day in a better mood.

we rolled back in after the disaster at Q bar and AN on saturday. i got my gal from the night before and my friend got his same gal. we headed out to the short time hotel. $60 for the girl, $20 for the room.

i spent the next two days hanging with the gal from this bar. because the bong sen hotel didn't allow guests after 10pm, i had her show up at my hotel about 11am and she'd leave about 9pm. we'd fuck around in the room a couple times each day and we took a couple strolls outside of my four square block "zone". no addtl cost over and above the standard $60. plus no need to pay $20 for short time hotel. the gal suggested this program and i was all over it. when the whores provide guidance on saving money, you know they are in the keeper category.

an update on cali.

the girl that demanded a tip for massaging my shoulders for a few minutes (see above) has been fired. the girl that i took out long time (incl trip to vung tao) is married to a guy from singapore and already pregnant. the girl in loso's report (lieu) is gone but still does freelance work. she got too clingy and talked too much about her sick mother so i had to boot her after our first rendezvous.

pretty much just dogs left in here now. didn't look so good. they are offering onsite service in the back room now. but they are still trying to get $70 for that. i took a pass.

if you walk from hai ba trung towards dong khoi (walking on mac thi buoi) it will be on your right side, a few doors down from the linh hotel.

at the corner of hai ba trung and mac thi buoi is thien loc bar (same owner i think). and i liked the girls in there better on my last visit.

across from cali is a decent restaurant called the black cat.

Have you ever been to the America Discotheque? i hear it is the biggest nightclub in HCMH. Are there alot of hot girls there?

i have not been to that disco. i see from the net that it is in district 5. district 1 is where most of the tourists hang so that disco could be 99% locals.

i went to the big disco/club in danang with two local viets that i met at another bar. i saw only one other non viet in that place. i was glad i didn't go in solo (see report on this site under vietnam, danang).

you might want to consider bar fining a girl from the hai ba trung bars and ask her about going to a disco. then you can return solo a different night if you see some decent talent.

don't bother with apocalypse now or Q bar (more clubs than discos) those are worthless for ladies. but i do recall one of my gals from thien loc bar asking me if i wanted to go to a disco, think it was in the new world hotel (district 1). and she said the ladies in there were "available". but i didn't make it.

this is place is closed now. ripped down a few storefronts, now a vacant lot. probably getting ready for a new high rise.
