this hotel is located on soi sensabai which is really just an extension of the main party road, soi bangla. there are a dozen or more guesthouse type places to stay on this soi.

as noted by big poppa in a previous trip report, many of the rooms at yorkshire are very small. i'm currently staying in one ("the closet" as noted in bp's earlier trip report). i wasn't too keen on the room but the owner cut me a deal of sorts.

41 days total, first 27 in the small room and then 14 days in the one bedroom apartment (full kitchen, 2 tv's). the small rooms were recently renovated so at least clean. one bedrooms are "old thai style". avg rate 1,200THB (900 for the closet and 2,000 for the apartment).

couple of good things to say:

internet connection in the room is very good. this is a must have for me. also, it is free of charge. some places charge by the hour for use in room.

the owners recently got involved with the pool/spa/fitness place called tai life, which is one soi over. can use the pool for free but have to bring hotel towel. get 25% discount for fitness center. one week is roughly 700THB (after discount). one month is 2,450THB (after discount).

the restaurant is very good. not the lowest price in town but nice and clean. owner of rico hotel (where i've stayed before) claims yorkshire inn has "the best kitchen in town". that comes from an expat that lives here and runs his own hotel.

no joiner fee (although you'll have trouble fitting your gal into the closet room !!!).
