unlike pattaya, the female scene in patong is pretty weak during the day. even the outdoor beer bar style stuff doesn't getting rolling until 9 or so.
if you like to play golf, try loch palm. i liked it alot, better than phuket country club (which i've played many, many times). and the pricing is roughly the same. neither one is cheap. green fee 3,000THB, club rental 800/1000THB, caddie fee 250THB, cart 600THB. r/t taxi 700THB. caddie tip 300/500THB.
if you can get a local thai to call for the tee time, you can avoid the 3,000THB "farang" rate (not sure how much lower though). i was never sure when i would be physically able to play given the late nights here so i never booked in advance. i just walked out of my hotel, got my usual driver on bangla, and hit the course.
it only takes about 20 minutes to get to loch palm from patong (same for phuket country club, no carts there though, have to walk).
i played alot at phoenix in pattaya and got the local rate. 600THB. plus i brought my clubs on that trip. i think i paid 1,200THB for the r/t taxi. so cost much less. the worst part was the constant traffic. phoenix is practically in pattaya but took 45 minutes or more each way.
the loch palm experience, despite the cost, has been much more enjoyable than phoenix in pattaya.
p.s. if you are a big time golfer and want to play blue canyon (sometimes referred to as the best course in asia), the green fees are nearly 5,000THB and takes about 40 minutes to get there from patong.

Play golf or practice putting and driving with two cuties all day?
Decisions, decisions.

i know, it sounds crazy doesn't it.
for the professionals (not my level), they need not worry. they will have secured numerous mobile numbers on day 1 and will simply dial up and have their ladies over in no time.
for those with lesser skills, you may find yourself having to choose some non-mongering activity due to the lack of easily secured talent during the day. i would consider loch palm a reasonable choice for this category of monger.
