I recently came across a thread on WSA http://www.worldsexarchives.com/ about ageism discrimination in Pattaya for men close to and over 40, especially on soi 7 and 8.

I plan on being in BKK staying in Nana Hotel on 16 to 18 then going to Pattaya on the 19th staying at Secrets and planed to stay there for a couple of weeks then I am going to Angeles city and wrapping it up in Cebu.

My schedule is quite flexible and certainly looking to have a great time where this ageism thing is less likely to come up, beacuse I don't support that kind of attitude.

When I hear about discrimination at any level I move on.

So where is the least likely place to avoid this kind of attitude for the two places I am going, Thailand or Philippines?

"Short time only" is a Bangkok expression, "On mens" is an expression exclusively for Angeles City girls. Dont confuse the two, although LT to ST conversions becoming popular with the stunners in AC from what I hear.

The only ageism I've witnessed is from my buddies towards any bargirl over 24. I recall Soi 7, 8 had several beerbar gals that fit that bill.

Athough this ageism thing probably exits to some extent, I doubt that it's so prevalent in either the Phils or LOS to ruin a trip. Age is less an issue in AC for sure but by no means is it a buzz kill in Pattaya. With 10,000 working girls, or whatever the current figure is, how can you go wrong. I really find this hard to believe. 40 is such a low age. Just about everyone I know on this board is near or over 40, and I have never heard of any of them having this problem. In fact, I have seen senior citizens with canes getting pooying in Pattaya.

Take your average gogo bar in Thailand, and I'd be willing to bet the average age of any farang inside is going to be over 40. This isn't that surprising, given the socio-economic demands of participating in this hobby: it takes a lot of money, and older men have had more time to get to the points in their career to accumulate it as oppposed to guys in their 20s and 30s.

In the end, money talks. If you're really old (70+ etc), you may not be able to bag the stunners, but if you sweeten the pot, you'll definitely get what you want.

I've lived in Thailand probably half of the last 5 years and can say that you CAN find age discrimination there, but not like I've seen more then a hint of it. I've had MANY more women in the small pond that is AC turn me down for bullshit reasons and that's OK too. Perhaps it's my approach or something less tangible but the only REAL response you should be concerned with is the women and their interractions with YOU. If you feel like it's not your vibe move on but don't go there LOOKING for age discrimination because the girls'll sense a chip on your shoulder and you'll suddenly find yourself sitting alone.

BTW, a great friend of mine that I've hooked up with in Thailand/Cambodia on numerous trips is at least 20 years my senior and I've NEVER heard him complain about the way the women of Thailand treat him. Seriously, I'm in my mid 50s and have never experienced a problem with a girl in Pattaya or Bangkok. Not one has ever said "sorry Charlie" using any pretense as an excuse. It's possible that I just don't go after the ones who might act this way. After all, most of us try to pick girls partly on their physical characteristics and partly on the vibe we get from them. Very enviable schedule and you are destined for a helleva good time. As you can see by the replies, no need to worry about this "ageism" thing, your Biggest worries will be stressing about how there are so many doable girls and so little time. IMO, No monger should automatically presume that just b/c a gal works in a bar in SEA and the monger has a bulge in his wallet and other places, that the gal will automatically go with that monger.

AC is, for me, the best place for GFE (and one of the most fun places) in all my travels. It's the "perfect storm" conditions for GFE -- Most, if not all, the working gals in AC are from the poorer provinces and finding a sponsor or boyfriend is the national past time there PLUS most gals speak and understand in English is also a huge facilitator for GFE and sponsorship opportunities. PLUS, seems like the whole Phils Economy is used to foreigners and foreign Pinay infusing money to the locals.

I found it to be a bit less GFE-centric in MNL (more local gals and students). LOS and other non-english speaking venues have been good for GFE, but the limitations on language only takes the GFE thing so far for me.

If you speak passable Spanish, there are similar GFE potentials in Colombia.

It looks like I will be in town in San Diego on your visit before my vacation, so if you want to do a border run, have a beer, I'll introduce you to some of the following places I have come across:
