What are the Pattaya and Bangkok and Siem Reap scenes like in February. ClubHombre does not have any FEB 2007 trip reports for LOS! Phuket will have to wait for another time.
I understand that January has a poontang shortage and December is way over crowded / overpriced. But has it picked up by FEB?
Got passport, got vaccinations, got vasectomy, got vacation scheduled, I am ready to monger.

Any time in February is great . Chinese New Year and especially Valentines Day are no reason to avoid Thailand. I'd like to hear the reasoning on that .
The weather is still primo and the crowds/prices are diminishing. I always hit LOS in February - early or late it's all good.

i was in pattaya in feb and mar of 2007 (and also oct and nov of 06). feb is a very good month to be in pattaya. weather is good, not too hot. i didn't find prices for hotels and ladies to vary much during the months that i stayed there.
big differences in phuket but not pattaya. IMHO.

Chinese New Year is essentially a non event in Thailand . Now Thai New Year is best avoided for sure.
Why would you want to avoid Valentine's Day ? Also a meaningless day in Thailand.A few girls may joke about getting a present from their tirac but hardly a reason to avoid going that time of month.
This year February 21st is Macha Bukha day celebrating Buddha's first sermon .It's a national holiday and most bars will close for one day only. The girls do not leave town or go home however so no big deal.
February is overall my favorite month to go to Thailand.
