Place has excellent music and some cute girls. Mostly ex-pats here due to the casual atmosphere and great show. I didn't get to see the show but the drunk Brits were raving about it.

This bar is usually a little more quiet than the other Patpong bars. Have been in here a few times and found, on more than one occasion, brand new girls from Isaan. Last night they had only a couple lookers but if your in Patpong worth checking out.

Agreed. Quality comes and goes, but worth a stop as well as the Executive Lounge across the street.

The Pink Panther re-opened, after massive renovations, on Wednesday or Thursday (I tend to lose track of the days, here). Out of sheer coincidence, I happened to be there. It is now almost an open-air bar. You can see the girls dancing inside as you walk up Patpong 2. It looks as though the bar is set up where the doors and huge windows could be closed, in case of a torrential downpour. But, when I was there, it was a strange cross-breed of an outdoor beer bar and an indoor gogo.

There's no stage, as such, the girls (clad in hot-pants and bare-midriff tops) dance on tiny indivdual slightly elevated platforms. Only four girls were dancing when I was there and, if I recall, there are only four platforms, total. They never did rotate new girls onto the dance platforms. Of the dancers, one was pretty decent and the other three were (while better than the last few women I saw at the old Pink Panther) certainly nothing to write home about. There was at least one freelancer/hostess who was quite easy on the eyes, though.

The place has been remodelled quite nicely, with a light show and all new decor. The lounging couches are a nice alternative, as well. That being said, as my friend pointed out, it does have a rather Austin Powers feel to it, now. My major complaint (and I'm a guy who never complains about the music in a gogo bar) is the sound system. It was being played at deafening levels in a largely empty club...and the treble was set way higher than the bass. I can put up with alot, music wise, to go to a gogo. Ear-splitting, trebly music, however, is asking a bit much.

All in all, the new place has an interesting look and concept. The mamasan told us that they still have Thai boxing three days a week, as well. Still, they're going to have to get more dancers and do something about the volume/equalizer on the sound system before I make it a regular stop...
