Greeting all; I am heading off to Chiang Mai for a week in November 08. I looking for recomendations and cautions on guest friendly hotels. Any insite you can provide would be greatly appriciated.

Haven't been there for awhile, but the Porn Ping Hotel, in addition to having an interesting name, is guest friendly (at least it was a few years ago) and close to the night market. Just be sure to reserve a room with a double bed, as many of the rooms only have twins.

Low cost rooms start at 500TBH [$14] to about 900TBH $25 for a superior room.
