Hi everybody , My buddies and I are planning our first trip to thailand. Think we are going to hit bkk , pattaya, and phuket. Just wondering if anyone knows any prices? Seems like all the threads have old prices(although i could be looking in the wrong place). Im looking for the average bar fine and what the ladies are hitting you up for. thanks for all the help fellas.

Pattaya is cheaper than Bangkok

I was in both Bangkok and Pattaya in Dec. 2007. The prices I encountered were pretty consistent, as follows:

Bangkok Go-Go's: 600 bar fine, 2K for short time and 3K for long time
Bangkok Freelancers (Nana Disco, Beer Garten, etc): 1.5K for short time, 2K for long time
Pattaya Go-Go's: 600 bar fine, 1.5K for short time and 2.5K for long time
Pattaya Beer Bars: 300 bar fine, 700 - 1K for short time, 1K - 1.5K for long time.
Sopaies: 1.6K - 1.9K, all inclusive

The 1.6K to 1.9K price for the soapies does, of course, depend on which soapie one goes to. Some routinely charge more than this.

I do have a question though about the pricing at the soapies. I generally leave a 500 baht tip if the service is halfway decent, although I suspect 300 may be appropriate particularly at the cheaper soapies. Any read (from anyone) on tipping at soapies?

I've always tipped 500 baht at soapies unless the girl is really lame. I figure any girl that so thoroughly scrubs my ass and asshole before she totally drains me deserves a few extra baht.

1.5K for a Freelancer? wow! i usually grab one off Suk Rd for 1000 for ST. Especially when Nana closes. They would rather take a grand than nothing for the night,LOL. The beach rats in Pattaya will often go for 500 ST, but watch yer wallet. Mojo.
