Thought about using this hotel on my next stay. Really good value for how beautiful the rooms are. You can shop around online but I found one that has the Deluxe B rooms for 1,650 a night. The place is way underpriced if you ask me. You could get a place for half as much but nowhere near this nice.

Agreed I stayed in the higher end deluxe room for around 2,000 baht and it was worth it. Although I'd only go back if they had some kind of promotion going on...

I stayed in LK Renaissance Hotel for a week in early April, 2010. LK Renaissance (LKR) is in Soi Diana. The surrounding area is nice. It is pretty convenient (maybe a little better than Pattaya Bay Resort (PBR), as there is activity right across the street, where PBR has nothing across the street). At LKR, I stayed in a 1 Bedroom Suite, it cost me $90 night on Agoda. That translates into about 2,900 baht. The list price on the website is 6,000 baht. The room was gigantic, with 80 SQM, a large LCD in the bedroom and living room. King sized bed. Bed was comfortable, sheets were good. The safe was large enough to hold a laptop. DVD player, stereo and big kitchen. The bathroom had a walk in shower and a bathtub whirlpool. Wait, I forgot to get a girl in the whirlpool. Sometimes life in Pattaya is so distracting, what was I thinking? There were two balconies, one from the living room and one overlooking the pool. There pool appeared nice. There were lots of beautiful white girls in the pool in the morning, go figure. Internet was free and reasonably fast. Free breakfast, but nothing spectacular. There was no problem with one guest. They appeared pretty relaxed, so I think more than one guest would also not have been a problem. The pictures on the website (http://www.lkpattaya.com/index1.php?p=accom.php). Given the size and quality of the room, it was a real bargain at the Agoda price. It was almost too large. Next time I stay, will probably choose one room down (Deluxe).

Incidentally, had I not stayed there, I would have stayed at Sandy Springs (Sandy) in a Seaview Suite at 2,800 or Pattaya Bay Resort (PBR) Minisuite at 2,999 (high season rate). Sandy is similar size, kitchen not as good, bed not as comfortable, no free internet, no free breakfast, TVs (19 inch tube) and reception not so good, bathroom just functional, safe small; however, location is great, feels like home to me, and million dollar sea view. PBR’s kitchen is smaller, bed equal. Only one TV, but TV is as good. Location not quite as good. Balcony good. Safe small.

At the Agoda price, the One Bedroom Suite was a better deal than the similarly priced room at Sandy or PBR.

Overall, I can recommend LKR.

I spent a week there last November and I would agree with pretty much everything you say (no white girls in the pool during my stay). A lot of Deluxe rooms in hotels aren't especially deluxe, but their's are. Its not for the budget monger but definitely a good value.

A guy staying in a street side room said it was pretty noisy due to the beer bars across the street. I was in the back of the building adjacent to a large vacant lot. The only noise I got was one night after a big rain, when I was serrenaded by what must have been ten million frogs!

I was there in March. Get a room facing that dirt lot and you will get no noise from the beer bars. No white girls in that dinky little pool, but there were two French Moroccans women that I ran into there and a couple of times on walking street......Girls vacation??

Anyway the hotel is nice, I had one of those whirlpool tubs also and never bothered to toss a thai girl in either, but the walk in shower was large enough for some shower fun with one of them.

The breakfast kinda sucked, but that may have been because of the remodeling going on there. The WiFi was weak and could not use it, but they also have it wired in the room, so that was a non issue.

RG...Did you end up being the meat in a French Moroccan sandwich?

Yea, the pool was full of white girls. I have uploaded a picture to prove it. However, I tend to avoid white girls when I am in Pattaya, so I did not try to meet even one.

At least the one in the pool looks like she has a nice ass on her.

Stayed here for a week early July, wanted a little luxury at the end of my trip. Walked in and got a studio ( most basic ) for 1800 B. The only drawback was the shower was hand held on a jacuzzi tub, so that means a large step in and out, as well as potential for water to go everywhere since there is no curtain. In the future I would spring 200B more for the next room up which has a separate walk in shower, didn't feel like repacking again.
Otherwise the hotel is great, nice staff, decent breakfast ( for 2 ) really nice room, well fitted, great bed and linens, good location.

Agreed that this a nice hotel. I stayed in a one bedroom suite. If I recall correctly it was about 2400BHT for the HUGE suite. This hotel is super girl friendly....maybe too much. They pretty much ignore you if you walk straight to the elevator with a girl (at least they did with me)...so if security is of concern you have to make the point to register the girl. I did it about 50% of the time. Stuffed away all of my valuables in the safe anyway. When the girl is in the bathroom put the remaining items from my pockets in there also...not much left to steal afterwards.

I disagree on the breakfast - it sucks...for me on the very light side. But a very nice and modern hotel. Just one street from Lólita's BJ bar...

Rented a scooter from them as well. No hassle upon return and only a copy of the passport was required & deposit to rent.

Would definitely stay there again.

the only complaint was the shower in the one bedroom suite. No soap holder, and it was difficult to regulate the water - either it was too hot or too cold. Took awhile to get it right each time.

Funny, I have read other people say same thing about breakfast, There is a choice of about 20 items on the menu including some "lunch" items .
Only 3 traditional "western" type choices though, but the set A, B, and English I thought were quite generous portions. Along with this is the limited buffet items including juice, fruit and some bakery.
Then again, I am not a big eater in the AM...

Very rarely do I make it to breakfast myself...lucky to wake-up in time for lunch :-)

LovingMarv...When were you there? Six months ago they had a security guy sitting at a table by the door during evening hours documenting all guests (I thought he was the one hotel employee who was a bit of an A-hole.) Maybe they're doing things differently now.

Actually I just realized I got my hotels confused....I actually stayed at the L K Metropole, not L K Renaissance. Sorry!
