accommodation can be quite expensive in angeles, but 1 place that is worth a look is ponderosa hotel. it is a little out of the way, but it has a shuttle bus to fields avenue every hour. the rooms are nothing special but what do you really need? they have air-con, hot water, cable t.v. and a 24 hour bar and restaurant on-site. the room rates are around 700 pesos per night. if you do go to ponderosa, the manager "bones" will make you feel right at home.

This is by far the worst hotel i've ever stayed in. Roaches everwhere and the bed had springs popping out. Spend a few extra peso and get a room you can sleep in.
