some really really good food, satilite great service, but they got no fucking phones in their rooms which is really iritating, girls are available at the hotel $20 a night.

Invest in a cell phone, you wont regret it. Your girlfriend rate will increase exponetially. It is also somewhat of a status symbol to the girls. The phone of choice seems to be the Nokia 3310.The Filipinas are very brand concious. How about an in depth post of the Bonanza i.e. location, room quality, pool?,mini bar, etc.

My very first trip to AC (several years ago) I booked the Bonanza Hotel. I checked out after the very first night and went to the Chicago Hotel instead.

The Bonanza is across MacArthur Highway and about 10 min. walking distance from the main Fields action. The rooms were dark and musty. The A/C required the key to turn it on, thus when you were out of the room the A/C didn't stay on, so when you got back to the room it was hot as hell. The showers were very dirty. Many roaches in my room, with water bugs the size of rats that I saw.
Great pool and poolside though.

Well, the Chicago wasn't much better as far as the cleanliness. In fact, the carpets were sticky which some other fellow mongers have mentioned was due to roach droppings. Yuck!!!! However, Chicago is in the heart of the action. It sits behind the Orchid Inn. A pool the size of a thimble though. And it's always dirty.

So my favorite places to stay have been at the former Vegas Hotel and the Orchid Inn.

I've stayed at the Swagman in AC too and it's fair. Not great.Not bad. But again a bit away from the action.
