There is a drug scene in A.C. Some of the filipinas I know there do X or coke. You're not going to get beheaded, but if you get cought you could get thrown in jail, but as always, you can buy your way out of everything in that country. I wouldn't bring any into, or out of the country at all.

They have the death penalty for drug traffickers. I would strongly advise against carrying any illegal drugs into or out of the country.

I would say it is entirly likely you would be set up by whoever you got the stuff from, extorted by the police, who would then kick down a very smallish portion of the largish proceeds of your extortion to the person who got you the stuff.

I have dabbled in this or that in Asia, wouldnt recomend it but cant say I havent done it. There were previously 'protected' discos in Surabaya but last I saw it was a very bad sceen there. Cambodia and Laos seem pretty laid back on the topic. Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole in Thailand or PI.

I remember deplaning in Kuala Lumpur in 1999, the first thing I saw on the ramp between the plane and the terminal was something along the lines of "The penalty for drug possession is death." Not "Welcome to Malaysia."

Jakarta has a cool big huge sign in the airport that says something like "Death to drug traffickers, Have a nice day" or something along those lines so they have encompased death threats against drug trafficers and a warm welcome all into one sign.

I saw the same sign in Kuala Lumpur that Hunterman mentions. They actually had it posted at the end of the jetway, so it literally is your first greeting to the country.

Yeah, I thought that was a really warm welcome, it touched my formerly-drugged soul.

But they have no structures about counterfeiting/copyright infringement. I got a perfect Rolex in Chinatown there (a huge, fantastic flea-market area) for $13.25, and Windows was available for a few bucks, along with tapes of the just-released-that-week movies (unfortunately for my friends that bought one, the format was not the US format).
