If I had a scanner I would scan in the business cards from this hotel with the Chinese characters. I will try and see about picking one up in a few weeks.

I was recently in Southern China with a huge group of CH guys. We spent a few nights in Chang An which I really enjoyed.
This room at the Berlin Holiday Hotel ran a very reasonable 388 RMB per night or about $57 US night. There were less expensive rooms as well. This one had a big bath tub and shower. It seemed about the same size as the other rooms though.
The hotel did include free internet. When it was working, it was a decent speed of about 1-3 mbps. However, it only worked about 25% of the time I tried. The other times I could not get a connection.
There was a mall a nice 10-15 minute walk from this hotel which had a nice hypermarket and some Western food places to eat.
Along this walking route from the hotel to the mall was a Kidde and UTC Fire and Security company factory as well. Kidde makes a variety of products, but I see their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in Wal-Mart all the time.
The most interesting feature of this room was a huge curtain that went around the bathroom. That is correct, it was a glass wall covered by a curtain, so if you wanted to be a little voyeuristic on your date for the evening, you could simply open the curtain even if she locked the door.
My style was a little different though. I generally liked to shower or bath with my date for the evening.
