I have already made reservations to stay here because of two reasons:

1) Location, location, location
2) Price

I have learned not to trust everything you see on websites, but with those two reasons, I just had to jump in without any advice from experts and veterans. Can anyone contribute thier experiences staying or even checking out this place? Thanks in advance.

A buddy of mine swears by the place, he loves it.

I did a couple of bar fines out of there on my last trip, the short time rooms are nice. Nothing like being able to point and shoot from your hotel.

It's right off of walking street, but I prefer the Soi 13 area myself.

Thanks RG,

I was kind of hoping there would be one positive review on it, especially at the price. I got the Superior Room for 5 nights and at 995 BHT, I couldn't turn it down. And like you said, there is nothing like finding your prize and enjoying it too right in the same building.

Stayed 4 days here. Unbeatable location, great service, and very cheap compared to the level of rooms you are getting. I spent a day looking at other hotels as this is my first time here and for 900 you can't beat it. The only problem is the noise. It is quite loud until 2-3am.

Interesting trick for any visitors who have a smart card. You can use any smart card (the thick kind that has a power element) to keep the power on if you wanted to keep AC working while you leave as they want you to leave the key at the front desk.

Hey Vor,

Thanks for the update, the late night noise shouldn't bother me too much, I will probably be one of the contributors to it at that time...LOL. Thanks for the advice, I will definitely make sure to bring an old smart card with me. In the Philippines at the Wild Orchid Hotel, it is the same way, but the room door used a regular key and then the card for lights and AC, so I just took off the card from the room key and left it in the room when I went out.

One last question since you just got back from there, are there any good places to eat close by other than the hotel all the time? I saw the Pattaya Beer Garden is close, is the food ok over there?

Thanks,
Groovy

Gator,
Sorry for the late response. I stayed at Secrets last year and I highly recommend it. Nice rooms for the price and you can't beat the location. Usually a few hotties in the gogo downstairs as well. Wireless internet was reliable.

My room was on the second floor right above the gogo and I didn't have any problem with noise. Although suspect that I wasn't in the room much while the night club was in full swing.

There are lots of places to eat on walking street nearby including a couple of nice seafood restaurants less than 2 minutes from Secrets.

Let us know what you think of the place.

So how was the hotel? I'm looking at the site and I'm really considering staying here. Rooms look nice and the location is great. Just curious, do they take credit cards?

Yes they take credit cards with an added fee of coarse.

Good value and location.

On a side street about half way between walking street and 2cd road, easy walk to 2cd road to catch a baht bus to soi 6, 7 or 8.

Internet cafe just down the street towards 2cd road.

Something to keep in mind. If you have a bad back or knees you may want to stay at another hotel as the stairs are steep, even for Thai standards.

I second that. I have bad knees and even the second floor was a bit of climb. In addition to the steepness there is only a handrail on one side and none for the bottom few stairs where they turn into the lobby.

I wouldn't want to stay in the middle of Walking Street and I don't like Secrets manahement. Better deals are Pattaya Bay Resort or many hotels on LK Metro
