As I wrote in the Mandarin thread, I took an elegantly dressed pooying here for a "real" date. Patara is a high-end "fine Thai cuisine" restaurant. It's located on soi 19 off Thong Lo. To get there, take the skytrain to Thong Lo station, then taxi up Thong Lo to soi 19 (which is on the left). The restaurant is located down the soi a ways, a couple of hundred meters.

The food is excellent, the best Thai I've ever had. The bill for two came to about 1500 baht (we did order a number of dishes). You can check out their web site here:
