In October, 2009, I stayed in a one bedroom Royal Suite (now called Deluxe Suite) in an upper floor in Tower 2. Nice TV both in the Living Room and Bedroom. Big safe. It was a good experience and I would stay there again. No complaints. Not as upscale as President Solitaire, but a little nicer than Omni. Girls liked it. Did not go to the pool. I do not think you can go wrong here. However, if you do not like your room, work with the front desk and I think they move you to a room you like.

Positives:
(1) Reasonably Priced.
(2) Special includes free pick up or drop off at airport.
(3) View from upper floors is great.
(4) Location is the best. I like Soi 11 a lot. Very easy walk to the Train
(5) Spacious.
(6) Clean.
(7) Nice Staff.
(8) Loved having a washer/dryer.
(9) Liked the free breakfast, although I missed it most mornings.
(10) Guest friendly.
(11) Elevator will not work without card. No surprise visits from bargirls.
(12) Free internet. I used the Ethernet port. It was fast and worked well.

Negatives:
(1) Check in was a little hectic. Although I asked for non smoking, they gave me smoking by accident, twice. As a result, check in took an hour.
(2) The first two rooms had blocked views. One I could hear the birds.
(3) Not new. My window had pealing wallpaper.
(4) A little bit hectic.

What was the price of the room?

It is a nice location. Other good thing is it has more than one roof top pool. In the mornings I could take a swim all by myself. Kind of surreal with skyscapers all around.

Blazer, I paid 26,294 baht for 7 days (all in), or 3,756 baht a night including a free one way car to airport. LOL, I guess that does not seem so cheap after all.

Other rooms are cheaper there. But Grand President is a large place and I have heard that the rooms are uneven. I think the price was a little higher because I hit Halloween. Right now, for 7 days for the same room in March is 3,199 (I just checked) (no car).
