Wanted to know some veterans' POV on this subject.

I found some info on the Margarita-Station website on S.O.B.s and Dog House 'events'. Are these considered as 'locked-in' parties? Are these parties worth the 400 piso pricing? Especially if you are not a big drinker?

They are not anything like they used to be. Now more attended by cheap ass expats who enjoy 2 hours of free drinks and free food for 400 peso. SOB events are history - no longer held. Still have Doghouse but it is just really a group of bars that send girls to one bar for dance contest - now quite tame. They are still locked door because the girls do get topless and occasionally beyond but no more "bold shows" as the filipinas call them.
I would keep the money and move on.

Lewis Grand still puts on the Old Style pool parties - now at night and pretty much anything goes there. Was every full moon halted now but will start again soon I am led to believe. That would be worth the cost.

Went to a Doghouse part on my last AC trip. While it was interesting and the food was decent, I doubt I'd do it again. As KM says, the "shows" are lame and there are a LOT of expats soaking up booze. It is a nice place to see a bunch of girls from different bars though.

If you haven't gone, I'd do it once. But as I stated, once was enough for me.

Thanks KM & EA: How can I find out about the Lewis Grand parties, can I get on an e-mail list? If I am not staying there how much will I have to pay?

I think I will go to a Doghouse party, just so that I can say I've done it. Is there a special BF price at the party? Can I BF any girl that is present or only the ones that work at that particular bar?

The pool parties are announced on the PI boards. PI at night is a free site but about worthless IMO. The best PI site to keep up with events and great pictures is Asian Escapades. Both Lewis the hotel owner and Bobby the hotel manager are members. Last full moon pool party was I think 1,000 peso but well worth it.

July 4th there will be a Doghouse daytime pool party at Lewis Grand - not sure how wild that will get but Lewis is well connected in AC and can get away with things others cannot.

It's only 70 some bucks for a whole year membership. Shorter terms also. Well worth it IMO. After CH it's my number one source for info. Number one for PI events. Our good friend Blazers posts over there as well and is just as loved there as he is here !! hehe

The girls of the bar that hosts Doghouse are barfinable but not until after the doors open again. The other bars' girls - some go back to their bar to work , others are done for the night. Cell numbers are freely distributed.
