I just saw this place is open now. This is a new hotel right behind Central Park. I thought it was going to be condos back when they were building it, but it was now open as a hotel. I wasn't staying there but I stopped by to look at a room for future reference. The room was actually was quite nice by AC standards and I love the location. Right in the center of the action but in a quiet corner. No pool if that is important. Free wireless. Friendly staff. Anyway. I just thought I would mention it since it is new and has upscale rooms and a great central location.

Please let us know if the beds are a granite slab or a decent mattress. I used quite a few hotels during my recent trip and most of the beds were unfit for sleeping.

I recently stayed here for about a week. The location is excellent, right behind Central Park Hotel. I don't mind staying out on the perimeter and using the jeep service, but it was nice to be close to the Fields restaurants and bars. The place is pretty new so everything is in good condition and works well. There is no pool, restaurant,or elevator. It is a bit of a walk- up to the 3rd and 4th floors. Restaurant wasn't important to me since many are only a block or two away.
They plan to add on to the building sometime next year and also add a pool. This place runs at a high occupancy level.
At the present time, it is important to get a room on the backside of the building. There is a 12 story building in the early stages of construction and the pounding starts at 7:30 AM six days a week. The rooms in the back are quiet and even light sleepers like me won't have a problem getting a good nights/days rest.

Valentino's Hotel is mentioned in 2012/10 DonMarco - Random Thoughts: Making the Rounds in SEA
