I have recently been staying at the Clipper hotel on the Swan Lake Road strip. After spending so much time over at the Ground Zero of the Miraton/Hui Hua area, I now realize the Swan Lake Road is a second ground zero area. Here you are steps away from most of CP's big BBS, a 10 minute walk to the night market, and you area 10 minute walk to Jaiyi and Mayflower KTVS, Xindi Disco, you also have several Sauna, KTV, and Footie places to choose from as well, and there is tons of good food places, banking, laundry etc. Also, there is some large Indo style looking pujesara next to the hotel which I will check out.


As for the hotel itself, I would say the rooms are perhaps a tad smaller than Miraton/Hui Hua but furnished even nicer. I would say 4* for sure. Hotel staff has less english, but the breakfast and western dinner buffet are good. Also, the house keeping is excellent.

Currently the fourth floor Sauna selection and service is quite top notch, especially for big boob lovers. The footie is on the same floor and has consistent good service.

The price starts at 238 per room up to a huge Jacuzzi suite for 668. Basically you can save 80-100 rmb a night over the usually recc Miraton or Hui Hua. They have a website, but some of the translations on the English version are as laughable as you suspect.

I am staying at the Clipper hotel now and there are even more choices to eat nearby. A new restaurant, maybe 50 yards away, has an English menu. At the moment they only have a single copy of the English menu but they will have more menus and choices next month. The owner is from Hong Kong and speaks pretty good English. The Clipper hotel itself is pretty much the same as it was when I was here last year. The sauna is now on the 5th and 6th floors. Went for a sauna session yesterday and they did not have too much choice, I went early and it was raining here as well, but the girl I selected was great and provided an excellent service. She was very friendly and I actually had to cut short the session as I was out of the ammos. The footie place I think at the moment is an OK, or at least the one girl I had, would not do a BJ but offered a HJ for 100 RMB. So foot massage itself was mediocre at the best. However, the sauna girl really rocked my world yesterday. 300 RMB for the girl, 200 RMB for the room so total is about 500 RMB for a session.
