I recently made a side trip from Thailand to Vientiene for 3 nights. I stayed at the Lao Orchid Hotel and highly recommend it. It's very clean, comfortable, has nice size rooms, and is near the center of the city. I paid about $45 a night and that included a good buffet breakfast each morning. The chef even cooked me an omelet each day. I brought in ladies on 2 of the nights that I stayed there with no problems at all. They were both for short time, but I doubt that a longer period of time would be a problem.

There is so little about laos so some more info on the ladies, prices and the city please.
