People should know these points about the Japanese sex trade:

Full service is available ONLY in Soaplands, which are expensive and hard to get into. They have a more expensive kind of license from the government.

Shibuya is a "fun" place to be. I found street-meat (5-6 quality), some of the best Pinku Salons (21st Century) and a shitload of good restaurants (good cheap sushi, hell there's even a Mexican restaurant there. I visited Shibuya 3 nights on a 13 night trip.

Shinjuko/Kabuchinko is the main "playground" especially for the massage parlors/Fantasy Health Clubs, etc. I visited there 3 nights as well.

I don't remember alot of hotels being in Shibuya. There were some near Shinjuku station that looked nice byt I don't remember their names. I stayed in the Tokyo Prince (by the tower, near Roppongi) and was a short Subway ride to Shibuya or Shinjuku (take subway from Kamyacho to Kasumageseki and change to the train headed for either Shibuya or the Maranoucho line to Shinjuku. About soaplands in Japan

The following is Byron's response to my question about Japanese "soapland" establishments. Please add any information that you can - especially in regards to non-Japanese customers. Thanks - MrBill

"...I am Japanese, so I can get in. Unfortunately, it is true that many of them don't take foreigners, BUT SOME DO. For example, this parlor Arena puts an English version of website (see the link in my post below), so they must be foreigner friendly. It is possible that not all girls there accept foreigners, it does not mean those who do are second-tiers, it just depends on girls' preferences on this matter.
If you go to Japan, and if you know which girls you like from their website (these girls are all real, not models) then you can call them and ask them if the girls of your specific choice do foreigners. The people who answer phone will probably speak some English. You might want to tell them you are a white American.

The price what you saw is a bit misleading from the website. All soaplands have two-tier price system: admission fee and girls' charge. It's like an Asian massage parlor in the US. 25,000 yen for 120 minutes at chateu is only for the admission fee. At each soapland, all girls charge the same amount of money for sex. At the chateu level (which is on the more expensive side), I'd guess the girls' fee is 25 - 35,000 yen. So, the total is 50 - 60,000 yen. I know it sounds pretty expensive, but that's the way how it is. There are many soaplands which charge less both for admission and admission. The cheapest one goes 20,000 yen total, but for less time (70ish minutes and could be 1 cum only). You must find ones who take foreigners. (On the sidenote, EVERYTHING is expensive in Japan, not only prostitution, mainly due to the exchange rate. $1 goes for 125 yen, but the purchasing power of $1 in the US is equal to 190 yen in Japan, according to the US State Department. So, for the people who are on Japanese pay rolls, 20,000 yen feels more like $110, which is not bad).

At expensive places, 120 minutes means about 90 minutes of sex (it's supposed to be unlimited cums, but realistically up to 3 cums with this amount of time) and 30 minutes of chat/break and so on. 90 minutes of sex include not only multiple intercourses but their exceptional "special services", including full-body contact "wash" and numerous BBBJs. Now, the dirty secret of soaplands is, at expensive places, you can demand BBFS, and girls will oblige your request and let you cum inside them. The nice thing about Japan is, HIV rate is very low, and all girls at soaplands are tested, so the incidents of STD are very low. Another thing about Japan, particuarly Tokyo, is, it has become one of the whore magnets of the world for the last 20 years. This makes perfect sense, at least on paper. If you are a prostitute willing to travel, you want to go to places where money is good, regulation lax, and the guys are sex/mongering crazed. And they say, JAPAN.

Because non-Japanese would be working underground, they would need Yakuza's protection. But, Yakuza is notorious in treating them poorly. They keep their passports, force bunch of girls to live in small apartment rooms, and then physically threaten them.

According to the story I heard, Gabby-CC was "kicked in the butt" by Yakuza when she worked in Japan. I don't know exactly what happened, but they apparently made her very scared.

There is only one fee at these places.

They are not FS places, though. Fashion health are (usually) for massage plus BJ/HJ. Image clubs give you theme-based fantasy "plays" (e.g. "Costume plays" with girls in nurse, police woman, cheer leader and school outfits. First, there are soaplands that accept foreigners, so don't be pessimistic. The policy regarding foreigners differ from premise to premise, so I can't make blanket comment based on different types of services. Pink salons are usually for BJ/HJ only. There are rare ones that give you FS. It depends on the policy of local police. But, again, this is rare, so don't count on it. - TRY to speak at least minimal Japanese - shows respect at the very least
- be respectful as possible at all times
- one problem with gaijin is supposedly that they're afraid they won't understand "the system" - i.e. how the club/service works - make sure you do and maybe if your Japanese buddy can verify that you do
- dress nice (maybe even a suit), be CLEAN and neat in your appearance, smell good, etc

There are two reasons why places reject foreigners. One is, as Mr. Bill said, they assume gaijin don't know the system. For this, it is helpful if you go with a Japanese friend, who can tell them you know the system. The second reason is, they consider Americans as HIV risk. I wrote about this on the board several time, so I will make it brief here. When HIV first hit Japan in late 80s, the first dozen cases of sexual transmission came from American careers. It caused panic response, and their sex industry shut off against Americans.

I suppose, every premise has different reasons as to why it rejects gaijin. If it is the second reason, then it wouldn't help if you claim you are a half Japanese. If it is the first reason, then you might get in, if you show the familiarity to the system one way or the other.

Most of the time, asking for FS at non-FS place would not work. I heard the following from a girl who worked both at non-FS and FS; Girls choose where they work based on the type of services they are willing to give. The girls who work at BJ/HJ places are those who do NOT want to do FS. If they are willing to do FS, then they would go to soaplands where they can make 2-3 times more than at BJ/HJ places.

Another reason is, zoning and licensing are different between non-FS and FS places. Committing FS at non-FS premises is a violation of regulations, and it could induce police raid (not to mention that giving FS is technically illegal anywhere in Japan).

There is a truth to what Frankjp posts. If you are a gringo (say, a white American in your 20-40s) and clean looking, there is a good chance you will find free pussies in Tokyo clubs. There are always girls who are curious about "gaijin".

The word Frankjp meant is not "enjoy kosai". It is "enjo kosai". "Enjo (no y at the end)" means, "help/aid". "Kosai" is "dating". "Enjo kosai" is a cover word for prostitution. While it is true a lot of girls partake in this activity, if you randomly ask girls in malls for "enjo kosai", they might scream at you. Or worse, you could be arrested. So, I would not recommend this. Try clubs.

I talked at leangth with an ex-CC chica A*** who worked in Japan for three months about three years ago. She went there with the same operation that sent Gabby to Japan, although she and Gabby went there at different times. She gave me some details of how her work was like in Japan.

At CC, A*** was recruited by R***, a chica who is still active. R*** must have some Japanese connection; she not only speaks some Japanese (she spoke Japanese to me) but looks slightly Asian. She said, there was nobody around to watch her during the free time. I assume that the house advertized on newspapers and magazines. There are dozens of operations like theirs in a big city like Nagoya (the 4th big city in Japan). These operations are VERY illegal. Not only prostitution illegal and untolerated outside the zone, but these houses employ foreigners without working visas or health cards.

Clients were split by Japanese and non Japanese, most of the latter were Iranians living in Japan. This makes sense. There are a huge number of Iranian workers living in Japan. Their number was even higher in the late '80s and early '90s when Japanese economy was booming. Many Japanese soaplands would not admit them, So, they go for non Japanese prostitutes.

The price was $200 per hour. Girls took all money at the site. However, girls had to pay $25,000 to particpate in this operation for three months. This cost was supposed to cover airplane tickets, local transportation, housing, and other arrangements (such as small kickbacks to R***). I have to say this was a pure rip off. Airfare between TJ-Nagoya should be no more than $1,000. A house can be rented for $3000 a month or less (for 7 girls). So, these guys were making killings from these girls. But, good things don't last long. A*** heard that these men were eventually arrested and went to jail.

At the end of the 3 moths, after she subtracted $25,000 to the operation and other expenses on food etc, she said she had $10,000 in cash. She said, she averaged 2 sessions per night. So, in 90 days, she had 180 sessions that would have grossed $36,000. So, this is about right. She said, $10,000 as a net profit for 3 moths was a good deal for her. And for this, she said she wanted to stay there longer if she could.

While in Japan, A*** made two favoritos. One was an Iranian who met her within the first week of her stay there. He became her regular and patron. He gave her (car) rides around town and took her shopping sprees and so on. She told me she went out with him for convenience. She added, every TJ girl in the house had an Iranian patron or two.

She then met a Japanese doctor 1.5 months after she went there. She said he started coming to see her every other day. After sex, he took her to dinner. She said she liked him. The day before she was leaving Nagoya, she made arrangements to see both of them. However, there was a mix up, and the two men collided to each other. Just got back from a flying visit to tokyo.

Seki (sp?) 21 in Shibuya does take gaijin. I've been there many times the last few years and have never had any problems; also have seen a fair number of other gaijin there. However, I remember a period of time (maybe a couple of years ago, its hard to keep track) where there were some posts about how they changed there policy and didn't except us. That changed fairly quickly; sounds like DJ was there during the time their anti-gaijin policy was in effect, and, I believe, when it was under different management.
Small correction to wilrobasy's post to help those who may look for the place. I believe it is on the third, not second floor. At times (probably now as well) there apparently was another similar place on either the fourth or fifth floor, although I never checked it out. Then again, there was yet another similar place down the block past the McDonald's but that no longer exists.
I have often wondered how many of the mongers who go there actually get off twice in the 30 minutes you are alotted (15 per girl).
