Just thought I'd pass along my experience in China. I'm here now and have been going back and forth from Hong Kong into South China to a city called Dongguan.

Now, with TJ being so close (I live in San Diego), I wouldn't come out to China just to hook up with some of the providers here, but I must say that if you can get here on business, I have found no better place than the places I've gone to in Dongguan.

First, let me say that you should go with someone who speaks mandarin. It can be dangerous but with the right guide - omigod.

In my hotel, which is very nice but is located in the red light district of Dongguan, there's a disco and a karaoake bar. You'll know immediately that the place is filled with providers because Dongguan is an industrial town and it doesn't makes sense that there are so many nubile, young, innocent (looking) providers in one place.

I've gone to the Karaoke twice now, and the same thing happens each time. First, a hostess will take you to a provate room with a huge couch and a big audio/video set-up connected to a computer. On the computer you can choose mostly Chinese songs and some U.S. tunes as well to sing along to. You usually go with a few friends.

After you've ordered some snacks from the waiter who comes in to serve you, a "mamesan" comes in, usually looking a little slutty. She scream and bring in a line of beauties, all between 17-23 years of age. They're all from China, and they all have different looks just like anywhere else. Both times I chose a girl who had the innocent look. If you don't like what the mamesan has to offer, she'll bring another line of girls in a few minutes.

I'm not big in karaoke (actually, I think it's kind of stupid), but this is pretty nice. While others are singing to the music, you're pretty much free to feel up and down your companion as you like. We turn down the lights to give us a little privacy.

After a while, if you're still interested (and believe me, I was!), you can negotiate with her and take her up to your room.

The two times I've gone up with girls (one was 17, the next was 23), both were very into it but in more of a sensual, innocent way. They both seemed to enjoy it immensely (and didn't seem like the way the girls act like they enjoy it in TJ).

After the deed is done, I've wanted to take a rest and get a good night's sleep alone (not much into post-sex cuddling), but each time, the girls really just wanted to lay next to me for the entire evening. Both times I just took out the money and put it on the table and the girls just stay the night, sleeping in my arms.

After you're done, you get a strong sense that you just did something very personal, very meaningful (at least to them). Now, I'm as jaded to this as anyone else but the experience was just completely different than any I've had in TJ

About $75 for the karaoke and $100 for the girl. I gave her a pretty big tip. I probably could have had her for $40 if I had really bargained.

Interesting read but it shocks me that the prices are that high there, $40 seems more in line as you indicated.

I was talking to a native Chinese gentleman at AB recently and he said he had been whoring all over the world. In his opinion, the most inexpensive mongering destinations were communist countries in the far east. He also felt China, Vietnam, and Cambodia were the cheapest, and best. He also told me he never paid more than $20-$30 at the most. Who wants to go?:)

Thanks for the post toshmain, as I've been to HK on several occasions just how convenient is it to get to a city like Dongguan from there? Travel is by bus, train or air? Since it's mainland China is a visa required, and if so, can it be obtained upon arrival?

Now, as soon as Kodack learns to speak mandarin, I'll be ready to go.

Actually, frozin1, I do want to learn some Chinese and am leaning toward Cantonese, although I have friends in both northern and southern China. Mandarin is generally more helpful in the north and Cantonese in the south. I want/need to go to china this year if I can for other reasons and would love to make a stop in Dongquan. I would bet that there are many places like it in the more populated areas.

Bingo,

You're right. You can find it for less, but I tend to go for the higher priced establishments because it seems you get what you pay for. Last time I was there, my business partner took me to some of the cheaper establishments and the girls there definitely looked more used and worn out.

The karaoke bar was much more enticing to me, because every single one I saw (and there were hundreds of them at each place) were more innocent, nieve looking, and it seemed like they hadn't been there for very long.

As for travelling there from Hong Kong, it's not hard if you speak Chinese. But still, if you're adventurous, you could probably still do it. You will need a VISA if you're from the U.S. but you can get one in Hong Kong if you want. The one in Hong Kong is better than getting one in the U.S. because it last for six months and is a multi-entry VISA.

I'm going back next month and I can't wait.
