As madness overtook the women of the Western world, occidental warriors traveled far to find a Garden where female creatures of gentle disposition and concupiscence might attend their needs. And it was good.

But a seed of dissatisfaction took hold, and Gardenfolk grew restless, some seeking leave of their foreign benefactors, and the mountains spewed their wrath. So the interlopers retreated, taking with them all the riches they had sown.

Then the Gardenfolk had second thoughts, begging the dionysian and their ilk to return, and to bring with them again their gold. And many did return, again and again, spreading the Word of the glory of this fair place.

And the Word traveled far and wide, luring visitors from many distant lands, whose customs were stranger still, and wrought such mysteries as Short Time and Cherry Girl.

And today the most awesome of these changes cometh anew, a change fated to sorely trouble those who partake in Garden Delights. This pestilence be named henceforth Invasion of the Drink Sluts, wherein seemingly compliant wenches do seek to inveigle from men their many lady drink purchases, some of double toll, in said man's anticipation of salutary ends, but at eve's end these vixens do decline anticipated rewards.

Such be the devil's work, a contradiction in terms the like of "executive economy" or "compassionate Republican", but of import more vast, striking at the Garden's very raison d'étre.

I encountered my first drink slut two years ago at La Bamba, a Field Ave venue notorious for hanky panky in dark corners (and sometimes plain sight.) A willowy lass in a sarong wrapped herself around me and did the snake dance, the lap dance, the drink dance - but when push came to shove, she declined to do the horizontal mambo, declaring that she never barfined. She wasn't a cherry girl, just not a player, and a rarity in a town where a girl could only eke out a meager living without leaving the bar for bigger things.

Two subsequent developments have altered this equation:
1. KTV attitude (buying lots of drinks for girls whilst hanging out in bar)
2. double lady drinks (the Dollhouse group introduced GatorAid @ P250 a while back, and you'll now find Perimeter bars pushing San Miguel Lite lady drinks @ P300)

So now barfining isn't the only way to make a living from the bars - a girl can better her factory wage by 50% or more simply wringing drinks out of unsuspecting suckers.

This is a HUGE issue, one that threatens to completely change the way business is customarily done. These days you'll find Drink Sluts in every AC bar, and you'll find out too late, because a) they are often the cutest, and b) they are very good at getting you to believe that they'll go with you.

The bars don't discourage this scam, so we must.
But how? Here's my suggestion: When a dancer or the waitress asks if you'd like to buy the object of your affection a drink, you should reply, "Do you barfine? Because I don't buy drinks for girls who don't."

Blame the internet. If I had to do it all over again, I would have posted ZERO trip reports or guides for AC. Why fucking bother when the PLM's come in full force...dragging 8 girls on a barhop and fucking one of them, ping pong balls, sending money via Western Union, girls leaving the bars to work for chat site where losers pay to watch them naked at $3 a minute.

One option for getting the message out: walk into bars and ask if they have DLDs. If they say yes, tell them you don't do business with bars set up to rip off their customers, and walk out. If lots of guys do this, the message might work its way through their thick skulls.

This doesn't address the general drink slut problem. I tried to deal with this by asking the girl if she would bar fine with me BEFORE buying her a drink. If she hesitated too long or said no, I asked her to leave.

I personally buy very few lady drinks at all. Really!!! It's true!!! If I am out barhopping and drinking I will bring along my own company. If I am looking for new company, I will window shop from a distance, screen very quickly, put my money down on the spot and then immediately take my new found love to a different bar. I have become reasonably proficient at accurately sizing up Filipinas from 10 minutes of observation and less than a minute of interaction. I achieve great results this way 'most' of the time. ST bars are another great option since those ladies would be shocked if anyone ever bought them a lady drink.

I don't pay the webcam girls $3 bucks a minute. I pay .49 cents a minute on SAC. I don't consider myself a loser. I just miss the girls of the Philippines and this is one way to hold me over till I can get back there again. Some of these girls are really hot and do great webcam shows.

As for Tujunja, I loved his creative writing skills. I talked to two Filipinas today who called me begging for money. Of course, I said no. They said they are both working at a bar called Velvet in Friendship. I assume it is on Perimeter Road. They told me they do not bar fine, they are merely hostesses. They are both cute as hell. I assume they are doing what Tujunga described.

Velvet I'm sure is one of those Korean hostess bars where there is no barfine and you pay outrageous amounts for a ladies drink. Never been to Velvet but others like it charge 350 peso a drink and they can drink them fast. The girls in those bars give up their cell numbers for after hours encounters.

Customers will not run out and they know it. Thats why they are pushing like that. Many girls told me that they do MORE money on LD's than Barfines. So it's basically up to us to drive the show.
They take whatever you give them, so be wise.

noticed this DLD thing on my last trip, i wouldn't buy those so the girls would ask for a regular drink if i didn't agree (i understand some Filipino but they don't know i do).

ZEN is right, they get half of whatever we pay for drinks. they rack up 5-6 drinks a night and they make what we would tip them for a short time, without leaving the bar or their friends and not having to take a shower.

I am in AC for the first time now and ran into the DLD my first night here. I had read about them and had my warning lights on.... then one really beautiful cherri girl sat with me in the first bar I entered. She did not ask for me a drink, and for about 30 or so minutes she was kissing me, hugging, and grinding. Then the waitress delivered the buy a drink line, followed by "can it be a double drink?". But by then I figured my girl deserved it....I knew I was not going to bar fine her (since she was a cherri girl). She drank very slow the drink lasted about an hour...the entire time, however, she was so sweet and affectionate it certainly was worth the 300P ($6.50).

I ended up staying with her a good two and half to three hours and bought two DLD - 600P.

I avoided the place from there on, but I certainly it was worth spending $13.00 for an affectionate cherri girl for all that time. So she worked me....but I also enjoyed it and ended up leaving happy.

So far I have been AC for about one week and I think the pressure to buy a drink is a lot less then in Rio. Being asked to buy a drink every other minute is pretty much the norm in the Balcony Bar or the former help - typically a Red Bull & Whiskey. I almost always say "no" except in those rare circumstances when the girl is really fun & good company plus stays with me for awhile. But even then it is rare that a girl will be as affectionate as the AC Cherri girl that stayed with me for all that time.

For 600 Piso you could pull a ST on Raymond ST and kiss, hug and FUCK the lady for two hours in your room rather than huggy-kissy in the bar.

It depends on the time of day and my mood....I am happy fucking only 2 times a day - then I need some downtime. At that time the huggy-kissy is nice while just downing a few beers. I like to party and drink quite a bit - So usually my system is drinking like a fish in the evening, going to nightclubs, etc, followed by a late evening selection that stays over. I generally like LT much more then ST.

Aside from all that..this is my Cherry trip to AC....so still lots to learn :-)

There is no way to control the scene, you can only maximize your own enjoyment. AC is still cheap compared to other mongering locales.

When I was there early April, I saw guys tossing bucket after bucket of ping pong balls on stage, guys ringing the bell, guys buying boxes of chocolates for all the dancers, guys tossing 100 piso notes on stage, etc. This didn't happen day after day but I saw examples of each at least once during my two week stint. Were those guys drunk? crazy newbies? I don't know but they had their fun and I enjoyed AC my way.

Yeah it's an unfortunate trend in AC. While I spend a lot of money in AC it is all spent on the girl or girls who are with me not pissed away in the manner you describe. It used to be mostly the Asians who would make it rain or throw money on stage - now it includes all varieties of tourists. I guess they think it is the best way to get attention. No social skills so they think - let's just show everyone I have money to wipe my ass with and the hotties will swarm . Never works of course. Guys barfine and close whole bars for pool parties or barhops. As more and more guys come to AC it will only get worse as they try to one up the last idiot.

How about screen based on what you want before you buy the drink? As for the "suckers", they're probably better off without their 2 bucks.

Just an interesting note. Was at Tropix last night. A guy threw 3 buckets of ping pong balls on stage and onlt 2 of 12 girls went afer them. Even they are getting bored with it.
