Have any of you used a cell phone in Costa Rica? If in Costa Rica for a couple of weeks, needing to receive forwarded business calls from the United States...

What is a good brand? How is the reception? If I was speaking to someone in the United States--would they be able to tell I was thousands of miles away (is there a voice delay or static). Does it work good in San Jose?

What about the reception in outlying areas? What is the cost of calls to and from the United States? What is the overall cost? What is the cost of calls within Costa Rica?

Thanks to anyone who can provide some information..

Going to San Jose for three days. I already have a suite at the Presidente. Now all I need is info on do's and don'ts and where to go. I'm trying to find a good monger-map, but the ones on this board seem to have expired or something. If anyone knows some good resources (other than the trip reports on this site), please let me know.
