My buddy and I decided to take a long weekend to San Jose after seeing American's sale fare from NY
of $391. with stopovers in MIA.The flights were pretty routine except the flight attendants were super on both legs. Our SJO flight was delayed 3 hours after a thunder storm had closed MIA down and all the flights were backloged at the gates. Finally we got airborn and the free drinks were flowing. As we were descending to SJO the pilot got on the PA and said that San Jose is socked in and we were diverting to Panama City. The 150 people on the plane let out a collective "OH SHIT". Now I'm pissed that I was going to lose my reservation at the Morazon that I had guranteed on my Visa card. American put us up at the 5 star Intercontinental hotel. Not bad free dinner and drinks. After siting at the bar I decided to hit the Casino and BINGO a cute morena was smiling at me as I made my way to the Blackjack table. She was 25 with the nicest pair of natural hogans I have seen in a while. Our luggage was still on the plane and so were my condoms. Time to improvise. The casino was right inside the Intercontinental Hotel. The gals were Panamanian and there was no hassel. We went right to the elevator and up to the room from the lobby bar.

Hotel Continental has a casino. Like Advance mentioned above, I don't recall the Intercontinental having one unless they recently added it.

Shame you didn't take in Golden Time while you were there!

Hey guys. I am headed back down to PTY in 13 days. I am going to take my Colombiano novia from Elite to Isla Contadora for 48 hours of non-stop XXX! I will also go by Zoomba's for some alternative action. If you have not tried it, you must!! It is now my favorite becuase it is much bigger than Club Liquid. I do like La Cantina however!

Continental is a nice place. (Try the Executive floor if you have a few extra $$'s. Free drinks/food/breakfast daily and much larger and nicer rooms.)I actually got to know the staff there pretty well. The bellmen, front desk people and manager all knew me. I had breakfast with the manager several times. I stayed there probably 26 of my 30 or so trips to Panama. Became very comfortable there.

Never even gave me a second glance when I brought in girls. Hotel Panama security sometimes shook them down when leaving or entering.

If you go to Golden Time, remember to mention Club Hombre and Sandman. You get an extra 15 minutes free....
