I am 42, stressed out and considering a trip down to CR for 5-6 nights, this would be my first time to that part of the world.

I am most interested in finding one or two talented Tica's for a GFE to spend the majority of my time with but I may take one or two "side trips" to the massage parlors as well just for the experience. I assume I am looking for either a non-pro or a semi-pro but feel free to guide me on that.

Ideally, I wouldn't want to spend the majority of my time in San Jose but rather to head to the beach with my new sweetie(s)

Cost is not the primary factor, I think I would feel most comfortable in one of the larger beach resort areas with plenty to do, a great pool, convenient dining etc. etc.

So now to my questions - how much do you think I should budget for such a trip? What would be your advise on finding a Tica (not a Dominican or Columbian)to provide a GFE experience, mucho sexo and wonderful companionship. I am sure you can find what you want in the Blue Marline. It is in the Del Ray Hotel. There is about 30 to 50 girls there every night. Just tell the girls what you want and they will tell you if they will. It is half the fun talking to all of them. The last time I was in the Park Hotel, I found a Nica who liked anal. GFE- is not easy in costa rica if your picking up hard core lesbians at the del rey- you need to go to tico bars where there are students, who need money.

scrow- in gringo gulch the presidente is $80 a night - if you ask for a corporate rate you can get a room for $48 + 16% tax that includes breakfast.
beach hotel- copacabana in jaco - has 2 different rooms suite + studios - near the beatle bar + many girls

you have to think of Colombia the same way as Jamaica.if you leave the resorts in Jamaica and wander into town you're dead.in Colombia if you leave the cities you're dead.just think of the Colombian cities as Jamaican resorts and don't step foot outside.its pretty simple.

these girls need money for food + are afraid to get near the del rey. you have to approach them in the tico bar + most are shy.
as far as your comparisions to colombians - tica's live in a country that has about 5% unemployment. colombians live with 30% unemployment. most tica's will not leave there country for the united states- most colombians want out. any many of the wealthy colombians are now living in san jose.

the guys that seem to have the best success in CR are the ones that are living there and have more time to shop around for ass.if you're going there for a week or two and have spent time in Cuba or Colombia you might find yourself frustrated.

I have been to CR twice. I will be there again for Thanksgiving. So who is cooking the turkey? I have had great success. I do hit alot of tica bars. Some times just to have a beer and continue on my way. This is how you can find some true gems. I like VIPS2 sometimes for some quick action, I also get my daily massage, with the bbbj and sexo. I am going to D R in febuary. I hear the action is great there also.

02Garfield- i have spent 12 weeks in costa rica this year- i own a home in san antonio + have been going for 21 years. i always hit the tico bars, because i refuse to deal with the hard core lesbians that dominate the del rey- there are so many other places to go that are outside of the gulch, that have reasonable prices. 5,000 colones per half hour, or less. and yes Vip's 2 is a great place- in july one evening i counted over 40 chica's just waiting.

Sounds we are alot alike. I have been to the Delray only once. I do prefer the others. The first time I was there I stayed at the Grand. I really messed up that time. I was talking to 4 girls off My Tica. It was fun till one decided to just stop by while I was bringing another to my room. I was left standing alone. So I was so depressed I went to the Park and found some new company.

I should correct myself - I was actually thinking of Spanish Eyes when I wrote about purchasing a profile from them with no results. Others have informed they've had good luck with My Tica so long as you understand that most of them are not pros and are looking for husbands so they can get quite jealous and angry if they find out you are mongering while seeing them.

ViperX: I have been to Costa Rica three times in the last six months, and will make it trip #4 next month. I really could not disagree with you more. I have never found a place more conducive to the ultimate GFE that in Costa Rica.

On each of my three trips I have found wonderful Ticas willing to spend the day...or the week with me, for little cost. One particular tica rocked my world on the first trip, so I have been with her on both of the other trips. I have spent lots of time with her, and she never asks for money. I pay her of course, because she is poor and needs it....but she never asks.

On the last trip I found a new GFE that was one of the hottest latinas I have ever seen. Cute and only 19 with one baby. I took her shopping...her and the baby. It was a blast, and like the other one, she never asked for money again after the shopping trip. She thought of me as her boyfriend, and got mad when she called me on my last night and heard a girls voice in the room. I'm sure it had everything to do with not leaving the Gulch but I wasn't sure of any other places and I made that trip (my only trip) alone. I definitely plan to return to CR and would love to hear of any GFE experiences or locales in CR. BTW, while those ladies were not GFE it was still pretty hot encounters.

I registered (for free) en MATCH.COM, the latin american version. Then you pay them 25 dollars for three months....this enables the chicas to send you email and you can answer if you want. I thought I was going to use it to contact a few Ticas, and didnt realize that it was all over latinamerica. Well guys...you will get hammered!!! Okay so here's the down and dirty on my trip to Costa Rica. As I mentioned I used the My Tica service several months before I left to start communicating with Ticas...I initially wrote to about 12, out of those maybe 6 or 7 responded back but through my communications I quicky came to focus on just two. The idea was to arrange a vacation companion while I stayed at a nice resort in Tamarindo and maybe even to find someone for a more long term relationship. Well communicating with Ticas is not as straightforward as one would hope, afterall these are WOMEN. The one I was most interested in, let's call her M, agreed that I should come down to Costa Rica to meet her so that we could get to know each other, the plan was that I would arrive on a Saturday and then if everything looked good we would go to Tamarindo together. We had both already exchanged pictures. So I arrive on Saturday and we meet that evening in the lobby of my hotel, Best Western Irazu, as planned. She looks great! To me she looks like Penolope Cruz but maybe a bit shorter and with glasses, in fact it turns out that M does some insert modeling in CR (hands, smile, etc)

We talk, go out for dinner and I learn that her English is actually very good, she's a fantastic person but very Catholic. I happened to mention to her that my reglious beliefs were more along the spiritual side of the fence and that I respected many religious ideas even those from as far away as India. While she was already packed to go to Tamarindo, with tearful eyes she told me that she really didn't not feel right going to Tamarindo with a man she just met, staying in his room etc. I told her I couldn't afford to pay for two rooms but that I understood her position...I mean it would have been nice for her to let me know this earlier in one of our e-mails to each other but she was doing a lot of mental back and forths and while she really WANTED to come, in the end it was too much of a stretch for her to make...so gents I went to Tamarindo alone, but you know what? I still liked this girl very much...before I left she invited me to come back to CR and to stay with her at her house, she has two bedrooms, so that we could get to know each other better.

Okay I know this isn't the type of report you were expecting to read here so I will tell you that while in San Jose I visited New Fantasy and arranged my first threesome with two lovelies and that I tried to hook up something at Club Idem too but the first time I went was way too early in the morning for them and when I went back on a Saturday? evening it turned out that they were just about ready to close so while I met Richard, a nice guy, I never hooked up with one of the Idem chicas.

Well yes and no...what I got was an encounter with a real woman and all the complexities that entails. The thing is even though M had posted her profile on My Tica she did not really think through what it would mean if she met someone from America and became interested in a longer term relationship...basically leaving CR to live in the US, leaving behind her family and friends, her business etc and starting a new life. So my advice to anyone considering using My Tica is to make sure all these issues are covered clearly BEFORE you go but be aware Ticas are very good at only answering the questions they want to and being vague on the rest! Still, I love the Ticas, love CR and its culture and hope to go back soon and who knows my story with M may very well not be over!

Allow me to join the discussion a little late. I lived there for over a year and am familiar with the entire country. I am also fluent in Spanish. There are essentially three types of experiences in CR.

(1) Pure sex which you can get either at the Del Rey for lots of money or at tico brotherals for $10 to $15. Some of the girls are just whores but many work to support their families.

(2) A GFE to me means you pay someone to be your girlfreind. Sex is a given and the girl is pretending to be your girlfrined.

(3) Women who are looking for a serious relationship. Introduction services (My Tica, Spanish Eyes, etc) are not dealing with hookers but ladies who want to meet a husband. Sex is NOT a given with them. I have two experiences to describe.

Before I moved to CR, I began corresponding with a lady who had answered my ad in the Tico Times (English language newspaper). We exchanged pictures and she seems so neat that I planned a five day trip to meet her.

This was like Scrow9's friend. I told her I'd be staying at the Presidente and asked if we might go out of town for a short trip. She told me that since I was coming to see just her she didn't mind spending at the time with me but there was no promise of sex.

Night one we stayed at the Hampton Inn, slept together without having sex. We then flew to manual Antonio and had sex a few times. I think that she was looking for a nice vacation more than a LT relationship and we didn't see each other after I left.

While living in CR, I had a new girlfriend. We weren't having sex but I had a rare three day weekend and got her to go away to Talarindo with me. We also stayed at El Diria. This one we didn't have sex like I promiosed her we wouldn't but we hugged all night.

In CR, there are tons of sexual opportunities so it was very easy to promise not to insist on having sex in exchange for the company of a really sweet Tica.

My only suggestion is to not mix up sex with a GFE. If you want guaranteed sex, there are lots of Del Rey girls who will accomodate you. And if you use an introduction service, enjoy the women's company and don't think about sex. A paid GFE is not the same as meeting someone who wants a long term relationship.
