Located nextdoor to VIPS #1, a dozen or so ladies, rating of 5-6, one hour screw costs 5,000 colones..

Thought the name was Jet Set? In any event I agree with the ratings. Checked out the talent at various times two weekends ago. Seems to cater mostly to ticos, but if you speak spanish you'll probably do fine. The rooms leave a lot to be desired for, though, when compared with IDEM or New Fantasy. Walked back in here after scoping VIPS #1 on a Saturday evening, and had a quick session with a tica named Dorla or Dora. She was outside screaming "Te lo mamo bien, papi!" and curiousity got the best of me. Great BBBJ--best of my trip--and fs for 5000 colones, and she had a great attitude.

Damn Pendenjo, any girl who screams "Te lo mamo bien" would also get my attention.

Jet Set is the correct name.
You can see the sign for VIPS #1 in the background from this angle.
The passage below was copied from my report The Vladimir Chronicles - Costa Rica
Jet Set
On Avenida 11 between Calle 1/3
5000 colones ($13 US)??
Light Selection
As I suspected, I found a group of mostly older, bored looking ladies sitting around in a dark brothel setting. A man sat by the door, I asked if he worked there, but he said no. I scanned the talent for a couple minutes, there was one lady I could do if I was in a pinch, but I had all day in front of me. I approached the lady and asked what kind of place I was in, just to make sure, and she confirmed it was a brothel. If I recall correctly, the price was 5000 colones or about $13 US, but I'm not certain of that. After a few more minutes, I decided to continue on.

Would any one recommend this Jet Set for a gringo that does not speak the language? I will be in CR in 2 weeks.

I would avoid it if you don't speak the language. It was hit or miss when I was there in November, but when I did eventually partake, I had a great time. Everything was negotiated in Spanish, and the place looks like it caters primarily to Ticos. Not for the monolingual or faint of heart.

Pendejo,
Thanks for the feedback.

Agree with Pendejo.
Best bets for English only beginners are Blue Marlin, Club Idem and New Fantasy. The Blue Marlin has a mixed reputation because the prices are higher and out of line with the rest of Costa Rica, but for the beginner it's a comfortable one-stop shopping place where all the other gentlement speak English and there is gambling and a restaurant on-site in addition to the bar and bevvy of beautiful ladies.
Club Idem is great with more reasonable prices, but it's a little more uncomfortable with the tiny bar and more obvious "line-up of working ladies" as they will all be sitting in a line along the right wall. On the positive side, the owner Roberto keeps quality control over the ladies, so you have more of a guarantee of a better session. You'll appreciate this more the first time you spend $60-$100 US on a Marlin lady and she's cold in the room.
New Fantasy seems to be very popular with most, but I personally found it to have a lower quality lineup of ladies when I visited. On the other hand, the sauna and facilities are better than any other massage parlor or brothel I visited in San Jose.
If you are feeling more adventurous after visiting these three places, check out Park Hotel and Casa Lily. Or you might want to check out the new massage parlor opening up by the people that brought us New Fantasy, but I know little of it at this time. Leave the rest of the places for a return visit when your Spanish has improved. The lovely ladies will give you plenty of motivation to practice.

Thanks Vladimir.
I have had 3 great encounters at IDEM and Roberto has been GREAT. I am starting to look for something different. I think I'm going to try New Fantasy.
