A question from Chicago:

I'm going to San Jose this month and hear that there are some ongoing problems with underage chicas. Can anyone help? Want to avoid problems.

Anyone from Chicago be there next week? (Jan 18-26)

Thanks-

Underage girls, and boys, are a problem anywhere. Just don't get near them. When in doubt ask for an ID. If there is any question at all then walk away. The punishment is not worth the crime.

Sears,

It really shouldn't be a worry if you are in places like IDEM, Del Rey, Key Largo, New Fantasy, Etc. I think this issue is overhyped in Costa Rica. I am sure it exists but probably not to the degree that 20 minutes and the media talked about. Don't expect to see human traffickers on a street corners selling stolen children. Just use common sense and do as tight fit said ...check IDS if necessary. You probably won't find it unless you look for it.
