Caribe is located at #4-69 on Calle 3 in Zone 9 between Avenida 4 and Avenida 5, around the corner of Extasis and a few blocks north of Parque Centroamerica. It's on the north side of Calle 3 in a blue building with yellow trim and a red and yellow sign which looks like some kind of bearded man-lion wearing a king's crown. I cannot confirm that the name is Caribe, my original source for the name and location was a report by Excat, Guatemala City: Summer 2000 List.



The Excat report described Caribe as follows: "Caribe, 3rd Calle 4-69, Zone 9, Q20/beer, rundown smelly casa, 6 girls, afternoon.".

I walked by in the late afternoon and it appeared to be open, but I just had an uncomfortable feeling about the place...why I cannot explain...possibly Excat's description. I felt fine entering Extasis around the corner, but never made it into Caribe.

I cannot fairly give pros and cons for this place except to say that the surrounding area seems to be a little more rundown than most of Zone 9.

Went here twice and they would not open the door.
