This hotel is located on the west side of the street just south of the intersection of Calle 13 and Avenida 1 in Zona 10. Although a little bit more expensive, this was my preferred place to stay. I stayed in three different hotels and visited two others.
Holiday Inn is a Priority Club Awards partner. If you have are an AAdvantage member, you can earn 2.5 miles for every $1 spent on your hotel stay. Make sure you sign up when making your advance reservation. Other mileage programs are also available, so follow the links from the web site if you are a member of a different mileage program.
The surrounding area is Zone 10, which is considered to be one of the nicest and safest parts of the city. Many restaurants, some ATMs, a bank, and a small mall are only a block or two away. Queens night club is a couple blocks away to the north, and Avenida La Reforma is a block to the west. On the other side of Avenida La Reforma is Zone 9, where most of the clubs are located. This is walking distance, but safety regarding walking in Zone 9 at night is debatable.
Many of the nicer hotels are supposedly NOT guest-friendly. My understanding is that Holiday Inn IS guest-friendly, but that they will charge a guest fee. I did not partake in any overnight sessions, so I'm unable to confirm this.
Three computers with high-speed Internet connections are located around the corner to the right of the reservation desk for free usage. I was able to use one in the middle of the night, but I had to ask at the desk. A souvenir shop and tourist services are also nearby along with an ATM, but it wasn't functional during my stay.
The two rooms I stayed in were comfortable and pleasantly decorated. The electronic room safe allowed me to store my passport, money, and laptop securely in my room.

I forget to mention rates. I paid an online reservation rate of $65 which did not include GC taxes of 22% per night.
They also have free airport transfers.
